The May meeting of the
Kirkton Horticulture Society
was held Tuesday evening in
Usborne Central School with a
good crowd in attendance.
President Mrs. Jack Hem was
chairlady for the program.
Mrs. Hern welcomed
everyone to the gymnasium
which was tastefully decorated
with a huge geranium donated
by Mrs. Ivan Brock for the
evening. There was tulips,
forsythia and daffodils in the
room.
Mrs. Russell Lee and Mrs.
Ross Mathers of Exeter favoured
with a vocal duet accompanied
by Mrs. Grant Skinner of Exeter.
A dance number comprised
of Laurie Morrison, Linda
Marshall and Kim Doupe of
Kirkton was enjoyed.
A large number of draws for
liquid fertilizer and small plants
were made.
Ellen Eveleigh of Kirkton
favoured with accordion
selections.
