Tuesday night, the schedule of the Huron-Perth Intermediate baseball league for the 1969 season was drawn up. A single home and home schedule involving eight teams was drawn up under the direction of league president Bob Sadler of Staffa and secretary John Livermore of Clinton. The competing teams are from Dashwood, Hensall, Zurich, Mitchell, Clinton, Thorndale, St. Marys and Walkerton. The complete schedule is as follows with all games set for 6:30 unless otherwise noted. Dashwood at Zurich 4 p.m. Mitchell at Hensall Hockey here in Exeter has been finished for a little over a month but the big event of the season, is still to come, This Friday night at the Legion, the Exeter Minor Hockey Association is holding the minor • hockey banquet, Guest speakers will be Paul Henderson -from Toronto Maple Leafs who will be ably assisted by Jack Chipchase from Rochester a former Jr, Hawk. This banquet is for all players. who played hockey in Exeter last winter not only all•stars but all players from Mites and Squirts to Hawks. The price is $4.00 for father and son or sons as the case may be but if your father can't possibly be here you come and be a guest of the Exeter Minor Hockey Association. Last week was the start of houseleague ball for the season. Two games were played on Wednesday, but for the rest of the week the weatherman took charge with heavy rainfall and all games were cancelled, A total of 149 girls and boys have joined up for ball so far, there is always room for one more so come and join in the fun. There are 4 girls' teams, 2 minor Pee Wee teams, 4 Pee Wee teams and 2 Bantam teams.
