Thomas. Don is the son of Mr. &
Mrs. Byran Kyle of Hensall.
Rev. Harold F. Currie and
Charles Hay are attending the
Sessions of the London
Conference of the United
Church of Canada this week on
the campus of the University of
Windsor.
Mrs. Elsie Case who has been
a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital
where she underwent surgery,
has returned home.
The ladies of St. Pauls
Anglican Church report a most
successful turkey and ham
smorgasbord held Saturday.
Proceeds were very gratifying.

London, visited Sunday with the
former's mother, Mrs. Janet
MacKinnon.
Mrs. George Hess is visiting

Marinus Van Dyke of Hensall,
a patient at South Huron
Hospital was transferred by
ambulance Friday to Victoria
Hospital, London, where he
underwent surgery Saturday. Mr.
Van Dyke is an uncle of Mrs.
Sim Roobol.

Blenheim, spent the weekend
with Stewart McQueen and Mr.
& Mrs. Harry Snell.

Finish canvass
for Bible group
In the recent canvass of the
village for the Bible Society,
$211.79 was collected by the
canvassers from the three local
churches.

observed in Hensall United
Church Sunday May 11 when
the following infants received
the rites of holy baptism:

son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas
Plan to attend
Goderich banquet
Amber Rebekah Lodge
regular meeting was chaired by
Noble Grand Mrs. Earl
Campbell. An invitation was
accepted to a 60th banquet
birthday anniversary at Goderich
Lodge May 16.
A number of members expect
to attend when Assembly
officers will be in attendance.
An invitation was also received
from Hagersville Lodge which
members were unable to accept.
Plans were made to have Past
Grands night the first meeting in
June with the Past Noble Grands
occupying the chairs.
Final plans were arranged for
Mrs. J. Ingram and Mrs. John
Corbett to attend the Assembly
Session in June at the Royal
York, Toronto.
Mrs. Estelle Jackson,
Brucefield, was transferred from
Belmont Lodge to this Lodge.

service of baptism, Robert John
Middleton, son of Mr. and. Mrs.
R.W. Middleton was baptised by
Rev. G.A. Anderson.
At Chiselhurst United Church
children baptised were Patrick
James, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Leslie Riley; and Grant Alfred,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ross.
At Carmel Presbyterian
Church, Mr. Bonsteel occupied
the pulpit delivering an
appropriate message, and
announced that Anniversary
services will be held in this
church Sunday at 10 A.M. when
guest minister will be Rev.
Gordon Chambers of Stratford.
Splendid congregations
attended services in all churches.

Hospital, recovering from an
appendicitis operation.
Little Joanne Papple,
Seaforth, is staying with her
grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John
Drake, while her mother is
confined in Seaforth Hospital.
Two babies were baptized by
Rev. Bert Daynard at the
Mother's Day service in Hibbert
United Church, Sunday.
Brian Wayne Pridham, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pridham
and Roger Lorne Fell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Fell, were the
