HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Exeter Times-Advocate, 1969-05-01, Page 174 Fire loss takes drop, slate clean in Lucan The 1908 report of the Ontario Fire Marshal was released this week and shows that Lucan was the only area municipality not reporting any fires during the past year. However, several area communities were down in comparison to their five,-year average for fires. Stephen Township recorded the highest fire loss with $46,853 property damage. The five-year average is under $10,000. Some of the statistics combine local communities, such as Exeter and some of the areas the Weal fire brigade covers in neighboring townships. The fire loss reported for Exeter was only $1,498 in 12 fires.
