Hurondale annual meeting
was held in Caven Church April
23 where a lovely smorgasbord
supper was served by Mrs. Oke
and her committee to about 50
members.
After an exchange of gifts to
secret pals, a new slate of
officers were installed by Mrs.

of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority
was held a,t,the Dominion Hotel,
Zudch;. -Tuesday with the
outgoing president, Mrs. William
Brock in charge.
Mrs. Richard Weber gave the
Founder's Day pledge and the
message from Walter Ross.
Mrs. Hugh Patterson
presented Mrs. Brock with her
president's pin and Mrs. Chan
Livingstone presented her with a
gift for the "girl of the year".
Mrs. Richard Weber received
the Order of the Rose award for
15 years of active service in Beta
Sigma Phi. Mrs. Robert Fletcher
recalled Mrs. Weber's life
history.

observed and full-fledged
members received were Mrs.
Frank Giffin, Mrs. Orland
Squires, Mrs. Lloyd Beaver and
Mrs. Jytte Pind.

27 members present to discuss a
trip to Detroit June 18.
A donation of $25 was made
to the cancer fund. The group
will cater to a mixed bowling
league banquet Saturday.
Zone rally will be May 21 at
Lucknow.

A pretty wedding was
solemnized at First United
Church, Galt, April 12 when
Patricia Ann Makins, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Makins,
Exeter, and Brian William Berry,
son of Mrs. Chas. Freure and the
late Alex Berry, Galt, were
united in marriage.
Baskets of spring flowers and
lighted candles formed the
background for the marriage
performed by Rev, F.J, Roberts.
Organist was Duncan Addison
who accompanied the Ranger
and Rover Choir and also the
soloist, Miss Linda Jones, all of
Escorted by her father, the
bride chose a floor-length gown
of white crystal crepe. The
A-line skirt was highlighted by a
detachable long flowing chapel
train which cascaded from a bow
at the back waistline. The gown
featured chantilly lace trim
throughout. Her headpiece was a
crystal tiara on a four-tier
illusion scalloped veil and she
carried a cascade of orange ice
roses, and white carnations.
Bridal attendants were Mrs.
Nick Lansbergen, London, as
matron of honor; and Miss Mary
Eileen Carey, London, and Miss
Sharon Banfield, Woodstock, as
bridesmaids. They wore identical
floor-length gowns of emerald
green featuring white lace trim
at the neckline with green
ribbon trim. They wore
matching bows and short veils in
their hair and carried nosegays
of white and yellow tinted
carnations.
Little Miss Belinda Stockall,
Preston, as flowergirl, wore a
floor-length gown of white
crystal crepe with lace and green
ribbon trim, a headpiece of
matching bow and short veil and
carried a nosegay of white and
yellow carnations.
Best man was Donald Berry,
brother of the groom, Hespeler.
Ushers were Robert Hillcoat,
Preston, and Robert Musselman,
Galt. Master Larry Banfield,
Nanticoke, made a charming
little ringbearer.
A reception was held in the
Enniskillen Unity Hall, Galt.
For travelling to Washington
D.C. the bride donned a blue
and white dress and coat
ensemble of Bemberg viscose,
matching hat, black patent
accessories and a white orchid
corsage,
On their return they will
reside at 41 Scrimger Avenue,
Galt.
Guests were present from
London, Nanicoke, Exeter, St.
Catharines, Brussels and other
points.

Edward Cuillerier, Crediton.
Rev. J.G. Mooney officiated
for the ceremony.
On the arm of her father, the
bride was attired in a formal
gown on simple skimmer lines,
The fabric was crystal pebble
peau trimmed neckline to
hemline with guipure lace. The
gown featured a standaway
neckline, lilypoint sleeves and a
detachable train edged with
guipure lace. A four-tiered veil
of silk illusion was draped from
a bridal crown of seeded pearls
and she carried a cascade of pink
roses and ivy.
Matron of honor was Ruth
Gibbons, a sister of the bride,
London. Bridesmaids were Julie
Dauphin, London and Mary
White, Guelph, Junior
bridesmaids were the bride's
nieces, Vicki Gibbons and
Francine Gibbons, both of
London.
They wore identical formal
gowns of floor-length spruce
green pebble peau fabric. Styled
along simple skimmer lines, the
gowns featured matching
guipure lace trim from the
necklines to the hemlines,
elbow-length sleeves, a tiny
tailored bow at the empire
waistline and a draped panel
trimmed with guipure lace
falling from the back yoke. They
wore matching petal headpieces.
Best man was Dennis
Lamport, Crediton. Ushers were
Frank J. Gibbons, London, and
Warren R. Weber, Stratford.
The wedding dinner was
served at the Wingham Legion
Hall with a reception following
at the home of the bride's
parents.
For a wedding trip to the
Southern States, the bride
changed to a powder blue fortrel
suit, navy accessories and a
corsage of pink carnations.
On their return, they will
reside on the groom's farm near
London.
Guests attended the wedding
