The annual meeting of the
Crediton Women's Institute was
held April 16 in the Community
Hall. Mrs. Harvey Hodgins,
president, welcomed all present.
It is 50 years since the branch
at Crediton was organized and
past presidents and secretaries
were invited back for a small
celebration. The minutes of the
last annual meeting were read
and the treasurer's, good cheer
and hospital reports were given.
Mrs. Lorne Hodge reported on
the South Huron Board meeting.
The reports of the Branch
Standing Committees were given
by each convener.
Mrs. Hodgins reminded all of
4-H Achievement Day to be held
in Dashwood May 10.

Norman Vincent and Ira of
Grand Bend Sunday.
outlined the highlights of the
experiences in the organization
since the founding in 1919. She
divided her story into three
categories, trips, projects and
speakers.
The double duet favoured
with another selection, and two
guests, Mrs. Telfer of Parkhill
and Mrs. W. Brock of Exeter,
gave a short talk on their years
with the Crediton Women's
Institute.
Mrs. W.D. Mack extended
greetings from the district and
told of some of her recollections
as a WI member.
