Word was received Monday of
the death of Mrs. Susan
MeWilliam,' formerly of
Clandeboye, who passed away at
the Sun Parlor Home,
Leamington,
Born in McGillivray
Township, she was a daughter of
the late Tom Cunningham and
Mary Jane Carter. She was 85
years old.
Her husband, William
McWilliam died July 12, 1943.
Survivors include one
daughter, Mrs. Jack (Doris)
Harrison, Aylmer; one sister,
Mrs. William (Mabel) Gabrieau,
Leamington; 5 grandchildren
and 10 great grandchildren.
The body rested at the Murdy
Funeral Home, Lucan, where the
funeral was held April 9 with
Canon E.S. Wells, Leamington,
in charge. Interment was in St.
James Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mack
Harrison, Don Harrison, Glen
Wilson, Arnold Blake, Keith
Simpson and Pete Shipley.
CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY
Sunday Mr. & Mrs. David

occasion of their 29th wedding
anniversary. Their hosts were

ST. JAMES' CHURCH SERVICE
Easter Sunday the flowers in
the church were lovely. Among
the lilies was a pink hydrangea
given by Mrs. Walter Demedash
in memory of her mother, Mrs.
Cobleigh.
Rev. Mr. Carson preached on
the Living Christ. He said that
the service of worship was
meaningful to those who had a
Living Christ, not just a historic
Jesus of Nazareth.

The monthly meeting of St.
John's-By-the-Lake ACW was
held in the Parish Hall with Mrs.
J. Mennel, president, presiding.
Mrs. Glen Grindley read the
Scripture lesson. It was decided
to hold the annual summer
bazaar, July 12.
Rev. E. Insley announced
that the 20th anniversary
dedication service will be held
August 24. All gifts to the
church will be dedicated at that
time.
Confirmation will take place
June 20.
A visit to the Blue Water Rest
Home was tentatively set for the
fall.
A Study Book entitled
"Science and Conscience" is to
be purchased and various
subjects therein will be discussed
at future meetings.
