Comprehensive Home Care is under development now in the Dear Constable: Could you please tell me how you go about getting the three year drivers licences renewed? There seems to be some confusion on this. Do we have to write in for forms or does the Department send them out automatically? ANSWER: It is the practice of the Department of Transport to send a form to you which you are to complete and return to them, along with a cheque or money order covering the cost of the licence. This notice is usually sent to you approximately one month in advance of the date your licence expires. However, it is your responsibility to make sure you have a valid drivers licence, so if your birthday is coming up, I would suggest that you check and , ascertain if your licence expires. A lot of people are surprised how quickly 36 months pass. county but it is unlikely there will be any financial commitment of significance this year. The Province of Ontario shares on a 50-50 basis with the expenses of the public health budget. In effect, the county's share will be about $114,000. • • PARISH OF EXETER and HENSALL Anglican Church of Canada Rector: • Rev. G. A. Anderson, D.F.C. Russell, Students answer policy questions Students of Grades 12 A, B. C and 13 B at South Huron District High School this week participated in a foreign policy questionnaire prepared by the Liberal Party of Canada. Results of the questionnaire that are being filled out across Canada will be forwarded to the Prime Minister for government consideration. Regarding a NATO question, 51 of 81 SHDHS students felt Canada should continue her present degree of participation. As far as recognition of Red China was concerned, about the same percentage of students wanted recognition of Red China only if relations with Nationalist China were continued. Regarding Latin America, half of the students quizzed suggested Canada should increase her bilateral economic aid and technical assistance to individual Latin American countries, The census of opinion on the next question was that Canada should maintain present informal communications with The Vatican. With regard to NORAD, more than half the students felt Canada should continue the present degree of involvement. The majority of South Huron students want an increase in foreign aid spending to bring it up to the objective of 1% of the Gross National Product. With regard to recipients of foreign aid, the students voted by a majority of a single vote to concentrate efforts on Asia with Latin America a close second. In the final part of the questionnaire, local students said the main objective of our foreign policy should be to provide aid to underdeveloped countries. This figure includes $167,016 for salaries (including recent raises for the staff which came into effect January 1, 1969); $12,450 for total personal services such as pension plans etc. for employees; $20,600 for travel expenses; $6,225 for equipment including new transcribing machines for all unit offices; $4,560 for supplies; $12,075 for rent and utility services; and other, $4,585. Last year's budget was $187,000. Nearly $10,000 has been budgeted to alleviate the "source of frustration to professional and technical personnel" who must spend hours writing or typing reports. With new transcribing equipment, they will dictate reports and typists will play them back and prepare the necessary forms. As well, preventative dentistry, a dental service for pre-schoolers and school children, should be available later this year. The estimates also include sums to extend the medical and nursing aspects of the school health service, this year particularly in the high schools. County-wide sputum cytology will be undertaken. 74 OPP Rolee4 • • Home of the Famous Char-Broiled Burgers NOW OPEN DAILY FRIDAY and SATURDAY 12:00 Noon to 1:30 a.m. of the new church on December 23, 1888.
