BRINTNELL HP'S BEST
Larry Brintnell scored three
goals to lead Huron Park to their
6-3 opening win over the Bank
Boys who suffered their third
straight loss. Brintnell's final
tally of the night proved to be
the winning marker for his
Huron Park club. Completing
the Centralia scoring total were
Don Cooper, Rod Hippern and
Bob Thomas with single goals
each.
The Bank Boys' markers were
all of the single variety, with
Dean McKnight, Dick Coulter

wasted little time in showing
their home fans they were going
to make amends for their loss in
the scoring in their 10-2 romp
over the Juveniles in Thursday's
second contest.
Larry Willert, Fred Wells and
Paul Mason were the only
performers to pick up two goals

Elmira, Friday.
They hopped to the attack
with five goals in the first 14
minutes of play before the
visitors were able to make a dent
on the scoreboard.
Jack Nairn fired the first goal
at 4.25 on a play started by
Jacques Cousineau and the L-I
club was away and skating.
Less than a minute later
Larry Hossack flipped a pass
across the ice to Jamie Robb and
the fleet-footed Centralia
College student made no
mistakes in nestling the puck
behind Zenas Buehler in the
Elmira nets.
Tom Monteith was the next
Jet to find the scoring range,
completing a three-way passing
effort with Larry Hossack and
Dusty Aldis.
Hossack, who turned in his
best offensive performance of
the season upped the
Lucan-Ilderton lead to 4-0 at
9,35. Doug Galloway and Ron
Ryan picked up assists on the
play.
Barry Hearn, the club's top
scorer during the regular season
found the range for his first of
three goals for the night before
Jim Scott notched the first
Elmira counter.
Before the first period came
to a close, Hossack had fired his
second counter of the game on a
solo rush and Brian Baird picked
up the Kings' second score.
The Jets again dominated
play in the second session and
scored three times to a single
reply from the visitors.
Hearn bagged his second and
third markers and defenceman
Don Urbshott hit the mark
successfully with a hard shot on
a play set up by Nairn and
Hearn.
Veteran Abner Martin scored
the only Elmira goal of the
second period and Eric Plein,
also of Elmira closed out the
game scoring with the only
counter of the final twenty
minutes of play.
The game was enlivened
slightly in the first period with a
double bout of fisticuffs. Jim
Bender and Tom Monteith of
the Jets and Bill Clemens and
Joe Grundy of the visitors
hooked up and were each
assessed major penalties. In
addition, Grundy also received a

marksman.
Elmira took over in the
second with four goals while the
Jets could only score on one
