Sprinter
was made
for
running.
There's a new leader in the
Corolla pack. The Sprinter.
A sleek fastback with room to
spore for five people.
Its new, luxury interior has
fully reclining, contoured bucket
seats, deep pile carpeting, pod-
ded dash and recessed
instruments.
The Sprinter is purebred
Corolla. Moved along by that
same brute of o Corolla engine.
A full fledged 60 hp. that'll push
the Sprinter to a quiet 90 mph.
And don't forget Corolla's
uncommon "extras", like double
barrelled carb; 4 on the floor;
and 3 speed heater; are all
standard on the Sprinter. Auto-
matic transmission is optional.
You still get 40 miles to the
gallon on a car that never needs
greasing.
That's quite a package for
only $2050,

Budgets for the maintenance
of county buildings were
approved at Friday's sitting of
Huron County Council.
Court house budget is set at
$54,950; registry office, 3,160;
children's aid and county jail,
$8,500; and administration
building, $8,200.
The budget for the court
house includes an allocation of
$20,000 for the purpose of
repairing the walls. The
committee will give serious
consideration to this project
provided the provincial
government will provide 49
percent of the cost.
Some of the finishing touches
to the new administrative
building (assessment office) still
do not please the committee and
chairman Roy Westcott,
Usborne reeve, said the
committee intends to "stick to
its guns" until the work is
completed to its satisfaction.
Reeve Westcott said the
upper floor of the assessment
building had been constructed
"for future county expansion"
but that a tenant is being sought
to occupy the space until it was
required by the county.
The board of education had
not reached its decision by
Friday's session regarding the
location of its offices, but
Westcott's report noted that if
the school board did not move
into the county premises
another tenant would be sought.
About 40 applications for the
position of curator of the Huron
County museum will be
discussed soon, The overall
museum budget is estimated at
$24,200 and was approved.
A new caretaker, Martin
Straughan, will begin duties

The first Pee Wee playoff
game pitted the Flyers against
the Hawks and in a very close
game the Flyers came out on top
by a score of 2 to 0,
The Hawks had a little the
better of the play in this game
but were unable to beat Danny
Brintnell in nets for the Flyers.
Steven Willert scored both goals
for the winners.
The Jets clobbered the Aces
by a score of 8 to 1. Joe Regier
playing in goal in place of
Eugene Glavin came up with
some great saves to hold Aces to
only one goal.
Mathew Muller was the
scoring star of the game with
four goals. Randy Regier scored
2 with Dave Regier & Gerald
Van Osch adding singles. Wes
Rhude was the only player able
to dent the twine for Aces.
Scores this Saturday could be
a complete reversal as none of
the all-stars were able to play
houseleague last Saturday due to
a tournament at Lucan.
