progressive euchre in Aberdeen
Hall Kirkton, Monday evening.
Prize winners were: ladies'
high, Geraldine Beckett; lone
hands, Mrs. Eber Shute; men's
high, Mervin Shute; lone hands,
Lloyd Cowdrey.
CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Paynter
celebrated their 45th wedding
anniversary with a family dinner
at Pinecrest Inn, St. Marys.
This was followed by a
gathering at the home of their
son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Paynter.

The February meeting of
Kippers UCW was opened by the
worship service presented by
Mrs. Keith Love, expressing the
need for our compassion and
personal responsibilities for our
actions.
Mrs. W, J. F. Bell,
vice-president bad charge of the
business of the meeting and
gave, the ten commandernents of
human relations which were very
up- to- date,
Reports were given by the
various conveners. Mrs. Emerson
Kyle continued the Study of
China including some rather
staggering statistics.
A motion to send $10 to the
Clinton Hospital Auxiliary was
approved.
Group 2 will be responsible
for a birthday party at the
Blue Water Rest Home later in
the year.
Mrs. Bert Faber gave a fine
report of the Mitchell
Presbyterial.
At the close of the meeting,
the hostesses Mrs. Leonard
Lovell and Mrs, Hugh Hendrick
served refreshments.

spent the weekend with the
latter's parents at Wheatley.
Miss Marg Elgie who is on the
teaching staff at the University
of Guelph spent the weekend
with her parents, Mr. & Mrs.

of Mitchell were Sunday visitors
with Mrs. Priestap's father,
Robert Thomson.
Mr. & Mrs. Ron Littleton
celebrated their thirtieth (pearl)
wedding anniversary Saturday

have spent the past six weeks in
