School were as follows: boys,
Dennis Wraith, Dave Latta, Jeff
Culbert; girls, Johanna Engel,
Valerie Leitch, Violet Acres.
They will now go on to
compete against Biddulph
Separate School winners.
Lack of interest
in Cubs, Scouts
Only nine Cubs and two
Scouts attended the last
meeting. This is very
disappointing for the
Scoutmasters, Gordon Froats,
Tom Barr and others who help.
Conflicting interests such as
hockey and figure-skating are
somewhat to blame, and the
increased cost of enrolling may
discourage some.
It is hoped that some of the
boys will renew their interest in
the near future as it is good
training for them.
