Mrs. Paul Eagleson spent a few days with relatives in Sarnia. Mrs. Arthur Brophey visited for a couple of days last week with Mr. & Mrs. Ed. Bloomfield of Turnbull's Grove. Mr. & Mrs. Harold McDonald returned honie Friday from a visit with Mr. & Mrs. Jack Southcott and family in Halifax, Mr. & Mrs. Donald MacGregor returned home last Week from a trip to Florida. Miss CarOl Brown returned to her teaching duties at Trenton after spending her vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ross Brown. Mrs, Gordon MRWSOTI had the misfortune to fall on the ice, breaking her leg. She is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Chester Geiser is a patient in Westminster Hospital, London, where he is undergoing treatment. A story "Blizzard Hero" was read by Mary Shoebottom. Lois Elliott read the story "On a Night of Snow," Mrs. Harvey Smith was in charge of the study book "Here Comes Dirk" and told the story of "The New Home." The group sold Christmas Messengers give $60 to Centralia church Doctor Grant Mills, Mrs. Mills and family of Calgary are visiting with Mr. & Mrs. Wilbert Kirkby and attended Mrs. Mills parents' golden wedding anniversary dinner at Kirkton United Church. Miss Dawn Blackler of Toronto spent Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Maurice Blackler. Mr. & Mrs. Wilson Derbecker spent Christmas with their family at Kitchener. Mrs. Wm. J. Blackler is visiting in London with Mr. & Mrs. Rev. George & Mrs. Hamilton, Pelee Island, Mr. & Mrs. E. Hamill, Stratford, were holiday cards for the money making project of the year. From the proceeds they donated $50 as a White Gift to the M & M Fund and $10 to the current expenses of the church. Party planned with toboggans By MRS. ROSS SKINNER ELIMVILLE Due to the snowstorms, there was no Sunday School and church service Sunday morning. The Youth Fellowship Club held their monthly meeting at Elimville Church Sunday evening when plans were made for a toboggan party Saturday evening. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Pym and family visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Pym of Exeter. Mrs. Delmer Skinner, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Kints of Thames Road visited on Sunday with Mrs. Vera Johns at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. & Mrs, Reg McCurdy of Woodham visited Monday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Chas. Stephen. Allen Johns returned home Saturday from the hospital at Thornhill having undergone surgery. Mrs. Wm Routly spent a few days last week with Mrs. Hector Taylor of Exeter. Mr. & Mrs. Harry Murch of Petawawa left for home Tuesday morning after spending a few weeks with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Cooper. Mr. Murch was in South Huron Hospital for a week with pneumonia while on his visit here. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Johns, Carol, Laura and Mary Margaret spent two weeks during the holiday season in Florida. Due to bad weather, the January meeting of the Elimville WI has been cancelled. The February meeting will be held Wednesday afternoon, February 12 at 2 pm. Dessert will be served before meeting.
