The winter sports program at Pinery includes outdoor skating, skiing and toboganning as well as hiking. A snowmobile trail, approximately 25 miles long, has been established entirely within the park boundary and will be available for snowmobiling enthusiasts in the area, provided there is enough snow to make the trail operational. Please note that snowmobiles are classed as vehicles and persons making use of this facility are urgently requested to ensure that snowmobiles are not at any time operated in other than the trails set up for this purpose. Winter fees for the Pinery will include the regular $1 per day vehicle entry permit or the 1968 $10 annual vehicle entry permit. In addition, there will be a charge of 50 cents per person per day for all those over 12 years of age. The ski tow charge is $1 per person per day. The snow-making machine will be in operation on the ski and toboggan hills, which should provide adequate skiing and toboganning conditions for most of the winter.
