The Rev. Robert Wilson
administered the rite of baptism
to two babies, Sunday during
the morning service in the
United Church. They were the
sons or Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Tindall and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Bates. Miss Heather Davis
Square dancers
entertain seniors
The Senior Citizens Club held
their Christmas meeting Tuesday
evening with around 85 present.
There were five who attended
for the first time.
A sing-song of Christmas
carols was conducted by Ed
Lincienfield accompanied by
Mrs. Leda Sorensen at the piano.
Thos. Brew was chairman for
the program.
Paul Armstrong and Brian
Taylor played their electric
guitars. Solos were sung by Mr.
Brew and Mrs. Bruce Cann.
Piano solos were rendered by
Torn Walker and Mrs. Ed
Finkbeiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Tait and
daughter,Vaila played and sang
several musical selections.
Accordion selections were
played by Vincent Glaab and
Martin Dykstra.
A group of Exeter young
couples, the Promenader square
dancers entertained with Norm
Whiting calling.
Joe White spoke briefly and
read a business letter which
offered trips which might
interest the senior citizens.
Trivitt Memorial ACW served
lunch including Christmas cake.
The committee for January is
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dougall,
Mr. and Mrs. Will Essery, Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Jeffrey, and Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Smith.

of Agricultural Technology will
be the guest speaker and will
demonstrate the art of Christmas
wrapping.
CUBS AND SCOUTS
There were 14 Cubs present
at their last meeting and 12
Scouts with their leaders,
Gordon Froats and Tom Barr.
Meetings will be held more
regularly in future, and will be
more interesting for the boys as
the leaders have hopes for
assistance in teaching them.
The boys learned several
interesting and useful new
games.

The Executive of the Lucan
WI met at the home of Mrs.
Frank Hardy Sr. to discuss any
problems and ideas and arrange
an interesting program for the
pot-luck lunch and party to be
held December 12 at the home
of Mrs. M.H. Hodgins.

Mr. & Mrs. C.F. Langford of
Toronto, visited with Mrs. John
Casey for a few days and Mr. &
Mrs. John Hunter and family of
Port Huron visited her Thursday.
Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Robb
attended a re-union of Mrs.
Robb's Farrell relatives, held in
the Ripley Township Hall last
Friday evening.

weekend with her grandmother,

ANGLICAN
The Rev. Leroy A. Lyons
from Port of Spain, Trinidad,
was in charge of the Sunday
morning service at Lucan
Anglican Church, and preached
on humility.
In his sermon he told the
congregation about the
economic political and social life
of Trinidad, and how it affects
the Anglican Church there. Mr.
Lyons also answered questions
that the congregation put to
him.
THE A.Y.M.
The A.Y.M. held a post-exam
party in the Parish Hall, Friday.
There were 25 young people
present.
The A.Y.M. plans to assist
Mr. Carson at the
Anglican-United Church
Consultation in Empress United
Church, London, December 9.

The Ladies Guild of the
Anglican Church have arranged a
cosmetic hair-piece, dress
fashion and fabric
demonstration to be given by
Mrs. Wilson Hodgins in the
Parish Hall, Saturday, December
