Farmers watch
film on safety
Six delegates from the
Middlesex Safety Council
attended the Regional
Convention at Stratford.
A film showing how easily
accidents happen with corn
pickers was shown by Oscar
Snyder. He also gave a talk on
the work of the Safety Council.
He said that statistics show
725 less accidents, 15 less
fatalities and 46 less permanent
injuries, since the formation of
the Safety Council, compared
with the same length of time
before the Council was formed.
The highest rate of injuries
was caused by falls, and after 3
p.m. He advised everyone to
stop work for a few minutes,
and have a cup of coffee, as the
reflexes become tired, and
consequently slow, without a
person realizing it.
A few minutes of relaxation
could make all the difference at
this time.

ANGLICAN
The Rev. R. A. Carson was in
charge of the Sunday service at
Holy Trinity Church.
The theme of his sermon was,
"The World-Wideness of the
Anglican Communion."
The Rector emphasized the
fact that the old concept of a
missionary, a man sent out to
minister to ignorant people, is
not non-existent. The new
concept of the mission of the
church is to accept all people as
brothers and sisters, and money
and prayers are needed to
support, sustain and extend the
Gospel through national
churches ministering to their
own people.
This theme will be
demonstrated in a practical way
on Advent Sunday when the
Rev. Leroy A. Lyons from Port
of Spain, Trinidad, who has been
studying at Huron College,
London, for the past four years
will speak.
