BIG. SCORING LINE
The forward line composed
of Jacques Cousineau, Bill Neil
and Ron Ryan led the Jets in the
scoring department in their 9.2
opening win over Acton.
The Jets scored six times in
the first half of the game before
Acton found the range and the
top line accounted for four of
the scores.
In the first period Ryan
counted twice and Steve Proctor
added a single to put the Jets in
front 3-0.
In the second ? Cousineau
checked in with a pair of tallies
and Jamie Robb produced a
single before Ken Hall put the
home club on the score board at
11.57. Before the period ended
goals by Barry Hearn and Bill
Neil had upped the
Lucan-Ilderton lead to 8-1.
In the final session Stu
Townsley scored for Acton and
Ken Loft was the successful
shotmaker for the Jets.

This was as close as the
visitors came to tying the score
only Exeter score.
Hawk forward Grant Walker
suffered a painful injury during
the game when he was struck in
the mouth by a skate in a
scramble and lost a number of
teeth.

The winless this week aS they
were defeated 4 to 1 by the
Aces. John Wnertil and Steven
Harrison from the first place
Flyers will be.transferred to the
Jets in an effort to add some
Scoring punch. Goal scorers for
the Aces were John Gould,
Ralph Batten, Brian Perihale and
Van Tuckey. The only goal for
the Jets was served by Ricky
Stagg.
The Flyers led by Steve
Harrison's fourth goal effort and
singles from Noel Skinner and
Bill Wilson defeated the Hawks 6
to 0, The Flyers are undefeated
in their first four games of the
schedule.
With the changes made last
week between the Jets and
Flyers it is hoped that the league
will be more evenly balanced, if
not,more changes will be made
as we go along.
Boston shut out the Rangers
in Novice hockey by a score of 4
to 0. Marty Becker scored twice
and singles were added by Brad
Taylor and Ken Pinder.
The Bantam game was a
squeaker all the way with a final
score of 4 to 3 for Montreal over
Toronto, Doug Fairbairn was
top scorer with two goals, Doug
Miners and Wayne Brintnell had
one each for the winners. The
