bride wore 'a floor-length white
gown of lined orgarts ,and.
re-embroidered .aleticon lace
featuring A. bateau, neckline and
an empire waist aglow with
PO* and crystals. The short
Sleeves were caught by .small
bows revealing inserts of
jewelled alencon lace, The A-line
skirt was accented by a deep
banding of scalloped lace near
the hemline, A removable
watteau train caught at the
shoulders, swept to a chapel train
touched by the same matching
alencon lace as in the gown. Her.
shoulder-length veil was held by
a crown of pearls and crystals
and she carried a cascade of red
and white carnations,
stephanotis and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was the bride's
sister, Lynn Gackstetter.
Bridesmaids were Karen
Gackstetter, also the bride's
.sister, and. Patricia and Barbara
Toner, sisters of the groom, New
Liskeard.
They were gowned alike in
floor-length .capri blue sheath
chiffon gowns featuring.
appliqued lace at the waists and
necklines. Full-length chiffon
capes were trimmed with
appliqued lace. They wore silver
accessories and carried cascades
of white iceburg mums centred
with capri blue carnations.
Ronald Toner, New Liskeard,
was best man for his brother.
Ushers were Charles Walsh,
Weston, Barry Reddick, Guelph,
and Myron Gackstetter, brother
of the bride, Guelph.
The reception was held at the
Centennial Room, Breslau Hotel.
For the honeymoon trip, the
bride donned a souffle crepe
oyster outfit with matching satin
trim, brown accessories and a
corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
She carried a white wool coat
with a diamond mink wedding
ring collar.
On their return, the couple
will reside at Grandview Apt.
1204, North Service Road,
Cooksville.

ceremony uniting in marriage

Rev. S.J. Bell conducted the
service for the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Davis, RR 1
Lucan, and the son of Mrs, Pearl
Love, Varna, and the late John
Love.
Soloist Mrs. Jack Dickins,
Exeter, sang Wedding Prayer and
This Is Our Day accompanied by
organist William Larnbourne,
London. Guests were seated in
pews decorated with white bows
and blue-tinted gladioli.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride had chosen a
floor-length gown fashioned
from organza in traditional style
with bodice and lily-point
Sleeves of chantilly lace. The
A-line skirt was accented with
the same lace appliques. A drop
petal crown held her four-tiered
French illusion facer veil and she
carried a white Bible crested
with red roses, white mums and
trailing ivy.
Miss Sandra Abbott, Lucan,
was maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Miss Anne Hamilton,
Parkhill, Miss Heather Davis,
Centralia, and Miss Sue Anne
Diernert, Hanover,
The maid of honor was
gowned in a Marina blue sheath
gown styled with an empire
waiStline edged in guipure lace.
A detachable Grecian train
edged in the same lace fell from
her shoulders, A matching bow
headpiece with a crown veil
completed her ensemble and she
carried a cushion Of white

with lace over coat, matching
accessories and a corsage of pink
and White Mums- The mother of
the groOM assisted her in a mint
green and gold brocaded sheath
dress, beige accessories and a
corsage of white and pink mums.
For travelling to. Niagara Falls
and Kingston, the bride changed
to a beige wool crochette coat
dress with dark brown trim, dark
brown accessories and a corsage
of bronze mums.
The couple plan to make their
home at RR 1 Varna.

Saturday was the wedding
day of Linda May Oesch,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Edmund Desch, RR 2 Zurich,
and Ross Earl Fisher, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Fisher, RR 3
Zurich.
St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Zurich, was decorated with
baskets of ice orange gladioli and
white mums for the ceremony
conducted by Rev. A.C.
Blackwell.
Escorted by her father, the
bride wore a floor-length gown
of white mattelasse. The
skimmer line gown was graced
by a bateau neckline and
three-quarter-length monk
sleeves adorned with imported
Swiss guipure appliques.
Attention was focused on the
detachable chapel train, lavishly
trimmed with bands of guipure
lace, which fell from the
shoulders. A headpiece of two
petite roses held her four-tiered
shoulder veil and she carried a
sunburst of white mums.
The bride's sister, Mrs. Ray
Gautreau, London, was matron
of honor. She chose an ice
orange dress of crepe sateen.
Sheer elegance was the keynote
of this gown, also of skimmer
line. A gathered train was
tastefully accented by four large
covered buttons. She wore a tiny
bow headpiece of the same color
and material as the gown and
carried a crescent bouquet of
white mums.
Bridesmaids Mrs. John
Mathers, London, sister of the
groom, Miss Nancy Desjardine,
Dashwood, and Mrs. Allan
Wilson, London, were gowned
identical to the matron of
honor.
Richard Fisher, RR 3 Zurich,
was best man for his brother.
Ushers were Elmer Oesch,
brother of the bride, Zurich,
Robert Fisher, brother of the
groom, Thornbury, and Robert
Oesch, cousin of the bride,
Zurich.
For a reception at Hotel
Clinton, the bride's mother wore
a medium blue dress of acetate
satin-back crepe on skimmer
lines with black accessories and a
corsage of yellow roses. The
groom's mother had selected a
gold acrilan knit bonded to
acetate jersey dress, matching
hat, black accessories and a
corsage of bronze mums.
For a honeymoon in
Northern Ontario, the bride
donned a blue tweed two-piece
suit with hot pink and black
accessories and a white orchid
corsage.
The couple will live in Zurich.
