Dunlop Canada Limited announced they would establish their Chernline Services Division at Centralia and this news was followed only recently by the announcement that Dunlop's bicycle tire manufacturing division would also move to Centralia. About 230 of the 363 houses at Centralia have been rented and negotiations are well advanced for establishment of banking and automotive servicing facilities in the park. Plans are also proceeding for provision of other services for the growing community and Mr. MacNaughton indicated he has been approached by area church leaders with a view to opening the worship facilities at Centralia. There are two churches located on the former air base and he said he was extremely happy that an interest had been shown. The recreation facilities have been opened up and the swimming pool attracted 4,000 paid admissions this summer. The arena and curling rink will be open again this winter and the Lucan-Ilderton Jets and the Crediton Tigers have already made arrangernerita to play their home games at the fOrmer air base. Gloor appeared this week at the fall sitting of the Supreme Court in Goderich and the Hon, Mr. Justice Brooke approved setting it aside until the next si tting. Gloor is charged with being an accessory after the fact in the death of Gwen Pfaff, Crediton, and his bail was continued. Joseph Polzen faces a non-capital murder chat ge over the death of the area woman and he is still in the Ontario Hospital at Penetanguishene. It is expected his case will be dealt with before the charge against Gloor proceeds. Graduate nurse E. Veryl Hooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gladwyn Hooper, RR 6 St. Marys, graduated from Woodstock General Hospital School of Nursing recently. She received the second proficiency award for professional development donated by the Women's Auxiliary of Woodstock General Hospital. She has accepted a position with North York General Hospital, Toronto. "Frankly, there is not a great deal happening," committeeman Morgan Smith told the T-A in a telephone interview Wednesday. "We made some effort to take action and it fell like a clunk." Smith went on to explain the interim committee agreed it would not be justified to make decisions for the new board. He said the new board would have the authority to maintain the present boards for the first six months in 1969, and it is hoped that during that time, amicable decisions can be reached for the function of the new board. Amalgamating 32 boards into MISS ESTHER A. NEEB Miss Esther Amelia Neeb, 58, Zurich, passed away Tuesday in Victoria Hospital, London. Funeral service will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the Westlake Funeral Home, Zurich. Survivors include two brothers, Sydney, RR 2 Crediton, and Ward, Holyrood; five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Erna) Allison and Mrs. Thelma Pearce, both of Exeter; Mrs. William (Bernice) McAdams, Zurich; Mrs. Mildred Briel, Sault Ste. Marie; and Mrs. Milton (Hilda) McAdams, RR 3 Zurich. CUTHBERT WREN Cuthbert (Bert) Wren, Exeter, passed away at his home Saturday at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his wife and is survived by one brother, Gordon Wren, Kippen. Funeral service was Monday from the Hopper-Hockey Funeral Home with Rev. Lippert, widow of the late David Lippert, passed away Tuesday in South Huron. Hospital, Exeter, in her 78th year. The former Ida Sweitzer, she had resided near Dashwood before moving to Melbourne and finally to Kilworthy. She is survived by four sons and three daughters; one sister, Mrs. Martha Smith, Exeter; and one brother, William Sweitzer, Grand Bend, Funeral service is today (Thursday) from the R. C. Dinney Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Kil worthy, near Gravenhurst, Friday.
