HOdgills have returned from a trailer trip to the Western Provinces where they visited friends and relatives in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Ca moose, Edmonton, Jasper, Banff, Calgary, Regina, White River, Ontario and Fairgrove, Michigan. One of the highlights of the trip was the two days spent in Saskatoon with the Rev. and Mrs. John Prest and family, former rector here, who send their warm regards to all Lucan friends. Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Armitage of Lucan accompanied by their daughters, Margaret and. Sheila, celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary with a dinner at the Colonial Hotel, Grand Bend. Members of the executive of the Lucan Branch of the Cancer Society and their friends attended the annual meeting of the London and Middlesex unit at Kee-Mo-Kee camp Wednesday evening. ANGLICAN With Sunday school, Jr. Choir,and League of Loyalty all re-opening, there was a splendid attendance out to the church service when the new rector chose as his theme, "I need thee". Mrs. Frank Hardy Jr., who is taking over the League of Loyalty, succeeding. Miss Lina Abbott who was in charge for over 15 years, was present. She was very pleased to have 35 children out. Miss Abbott assisted her with the enrolment, and lining-up the children. Superintendent Dwight Henderson was very pleased to have 54 children out for Sunday School. At present all classes are mixed with the following teachers: 14 to 15 years, Mr. Henderson; 12 to 13 years, Mrs. 'Jim Freeman; 10 to 11 years, Mrs. Robert Carson; 8 to 9 years, Nancy Hardy; 6 to 7 years, Janice Freeman; 5 and under, Mrs. Mert Culbert and Helen Shipway. Flowers in the church were in memory of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Stanley, presented by their family. UNITED — -- The Rev. Hugh C. Wilson was again in charge of the service. He spoke on "Religion and Life". The Rev. W. C. Tupling from Amherstburg, has been appointed as Minister, commencing October 20.
