Waving goodbye to mother
The auditorium at J.A.D. McCurdy school was the gathering place
for .all students, Tuesday morning and they were sorted out into
classes. For the younger grades, goodbyes to their parents, including
a few tears were quite commonplace. Above, Paul Campbell, Donald
Ross and Margaret Pavkje are waving cheerfully to their mothers.
Mrs. Calvin Haskett, who
underwent surgery in St.
Joseph's Hospital last Friday is
making satisfactory recovery.
Mrs. John Park, Dr. and Mrs.
Jack Dewey and Mrs. Art
McLeon spent Tuesday with Dr.
and Mrs. L. W. Lobsinger of
Sarnia.
Mrs. Harold McFalls has
returned home after a few days
visit with her aunt, Mrs. Irene
Hicks of Flint, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis spent
last Sunday with the family of
their daughter, Mrs Carl Gowing
of Bluevale. Their small daughter
, Cheryl, who spent a week with
her sister, returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Aljoe Culbert
spent Sunday in Honey Harbour,
where their daughter Anne and
friend Carolyn Giles of Rodney
had been working all summer.
Anne begins her teaching career
in Sarnia this week.
