was highlighted by a flatteriog

Sleeves of French Alencon lace.
This lace accented the scalloped
lien'', A .sheer chapel train
cascaded from the .:back
shoulders and was .touched with
matching alencon lace. To
complete her bridal outfit, the
bride wore a French pure silk
illusion fingertip veil caught up
by a delicate petalled headpiece,
She. carried a cascade of white
gardenias and sweetheart roses.
Mrs. William Pollen, sister of
the bride, Milton, Mrs. Robert
Hoffman, Dashwood, and Miss
Sh elley Weber, Dashwood, were
the bride's senior attendants.
Miss Cheryl Dunn, Bayfield, was
flowergirl.
The senior attendants were
gowned alike in floral chiffon
over pink taffeta. The
floor-length sleeveless gowns
were enhanced by matching
looped "headpieces. Each
attendant carried a nosegay of
yellow sweetheart roses.
The flowergirl was demure in
a floor-length white organza
gown trimmed with floral
chiffon matching the dresses of
the senior attendants. She
carried a basket of yellow and
pink roses.
Best man was Gary Eagleson,
Exeter. Wayne Ratz and Michael
Ingram, both of London,
ushered the guests.
A reception followed- in the
church parlor, Receiving her
guests, the bride's mother wore
an azure blue Italian silk dress,
tulle hat of blending shades of
green and blue, matching shoes,
white gloves and bag and. a.
corsage of pink sweetheart roses.
She was assisted by the
groom's mother in a mint green
chiffon dress featuring a
chantilly lace bodice, green and
beige leaf hat, shoes and purse of
beige and a corsage of yellow
„sweetheart roses.
For a wedding trip kir points
:east, the bride changed to
olive green wool boucle dress
and jacket ensemble, feathered
hat in tones of green, gold and
beige, black patent accessories
and a white orchid corsage.
The couple is living in
Ingersoll where the groom is
teaching at Ingersoll District
High School.

Mrs. Norman Walper
entertained at a trousseau tea
honoring her daughter, Linda,
the week previous to her
marriage.
Mrs. Wilfred Doupe, the
groom's grandmother, Mrs.
Clarence. Schade, aunt of the
groom, and Mrs. Walter McBride;
aunt of the bride, poured tea.
Mrs, Jim Switzer, Mrs. Jim
Patterson, Miss Louise McBride,
and Mrs. Bob Becker assisted in
the tea room.
Mrs. Wm. Pollen, Mrs. Robert
Hoffman and Miss Shelley Weber
displayed the trousseau and
gifts.
Hostesses for showers in her
honor were Mrs. Elmore
McBride and Louise and Mrs.
Robert Hoffman, The Weber
family entertained the couple at

traditional wedding music was
supplied by organist Miss Carol,
liendriek and soloist Miss Doris
Schwartz, both of Crediton,
given in marriage by her
father, the bride had Ph9sen a
sleeveless gown of white satin
for her wedding, It featured a
coat flowing With panels of
nylon chiffon trimmed with
chantilly lace. The gown was the
bride's own design. and created
by Ann of Walt—Ann's, Exeter.
Her cathedral length veil was
held by a headpiece of satin and
lace roses. She carried two white
orchids, white stephanotis, pink
sweetheart roses and ivy.
Bridal attendants were
Rebecca Leslie Taylor, sister of
the bride, Grand Bend, Elsie
Fernie, sister of the groom, Fort
William and Stephanie
Chambers, London.
In shades of sunny yellow,
baby blue and pale green, the
gowns worn by the attendants
were fashioned of flowing
flowered chiffon. All carried
bouquets of pink carnations
with matching ribbons.
James Cronk, brother of the
groom, Fort. William, was best
man, Frederick Hoffner and
John Gillespie, both of Sarnia,
ushered wedding guests.
A reception followed in
Exeter Legion Hall.
For a honeymoon in
Acapulco, Toxco and Mexico
City, Mexico, the bride travelled
in a royal blue and green
brocade dress and matching
coat, white peau de sole shoes
and purse, matching hat and a
bouquet of yellow roses and rust
carnations.
The couple will reside in
Sarnia.
The groom is a graduate of
the Lakehead Teachers' College.
The bride is a graduate of
SHDHS and of London
Teachers' College. Both are
employed by Sarnia Board of
Education.

St. Marys Anglican Church,
Brinsley, was the scene of a
pretty double-ring ceremony on
August 24 when Sandra Joan
Faulder, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Alvin Faulder, RR 2 Ailsa
Craig, became the bride of
Lawrence John idle, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur B. Idle, Exeter.
Rev. F. G. James, rector of
the church, officiated at the
service amid lighted candelabra
and baskets of pink gladioli and
white mums.
Traditional wedding music
was supplied by Mrs. 'Harvey
Hodgins, RR 2 Ailsa Craig.
Escorted by her father, the
bride wore a floor-length
wedding gown of white lagoda.
The bodice was highlighted by a
jewel neckline touched with a
ruffle of chantilly lace, an
empire waist and long sheath
sleeves trimmed at the wrists
with the same chantilly ruffle.
Elegance was portrayed in the
gently controlled sheath skirt,
enhanced at the bottom by a
wide band of delicate lace,
gathered, while the main centre
of attention was focused on the
detachable chapel train
cascading from the back
waistline. To complete her bridal
outfit, the bride wore a French
pure silk illusion fingertip veil
caught up by a cap of chantilly
lace touched with a bow at the
back, and tiny seed pearls. She
carried a cascade 'of pink roses.
Bridal attendants were Miss"
Sharon Faulder, sister of the
bride, London, as maid of
honor; Mrs. Carol Lightfoot,
sister of the bride, Hamilton,
and Miss Bernadette Hancock,
London, bridesmaids; and Miss
Brenda Lightfoot, niece of the
bride, Hamilton, flowergirl.
The senior attendants
provided a colorful background
in their floor-length gowns of
hot pink crepe. The basic sheath
gowns featured gathered empire
waists, sleeveless bodices and
gathered crepe around the
scooped necklines. Tiny buttons
adorned the bodices at the front
And Were.followed by little
Meats. To add a final touch., to
their ensembles,they wore
matching crepe bow headpieces,
accented by tiny buttons at the
centres. They carried crescents
of Pink tinted mums.
The flowergirl chose a white
Pleated chiffon dress, pink
tinted mum headpiece and
carried a variety of pink and
white flowers in a small basket,
Master Larry Lightfoot,
nephew of the bride, Hamilton,
was ringbearer.
Groomsman Was James
Carscadden, Exeter, Donald Idle,
Etobicoke, end Claire Idle,
North Bay, both brothers of the
groom were ushers.
The wedding dinner was in
the church rooms. The bride's
mother were a powder blue
dress and lace coat ensemble,
white accessories and a pink
carnation corsage. The groom's
mother wore a white and brown
silk ensemble, matching hat,
white accessories and yellow
tinted carnation corsage.
For travelling to Niagara
Falls, the bride changed to a
multi-colored dress and a white
carnation corsage.
The couple is residing in
Scarboro. The groom will teach
at Dunbarton High School in
Pickering,

Lois Marilyn Aitcheson,

is the son of Mr. and Mrs.

setting for the ceremony

Following the wedding
rehearsal on the evening prior to
the wedding, the bridal party
and friends were entertained at
the home of the bridegroom's
parents.
