The induction service for Rev.
Bruce Guy as minister of Calvary
United Church was held Friday
evening with. Rev. G. L. Mills of
Clinton presiding. Rev. J. Heuth-
er of Zurich preached the ser-
mon.
A fellowship hour was held in
the church basement following the
service.
Rev. Guy was born inChatham ,
raised and educated in Windsor.
He graduated from Queen's Uni-
versity with a B A. in 1945 and
theology in 1946.
Since his ordination in 1946,
he has served charges in Oyen,
Alberta; Lawrence Station, Elgin

The Women's M home So-
ciety met at the nome of miss
Olive 4eare for the July meet-
ing. Twelve members and three
visitors were, present.
Roll call topic was Unity. Mrs..
K. McKellar presided.
Mrs. Grace Scott had charge
of the study lesson, taken from
chapter one of "Deep Wells".
The subject was presented in
dialogue form by Mrs. Grace
Scott, Mrs. Calder McKaig, Mrs.
R. Dodds, Miss olive speare and
Mrs. M, Lamont].
Business was conducted by the
president mrs, Lamond.
Mrs. C. McKaig reported four
visits to the sick and 22 cards
sent.
Mrs. J. R. Jefferson read ar-
ticles from The Observer and
Mrs. E. Moore gave current
events. Mrs. Harper read the
prayer.
Lunch was served by the host-
ess assisted by Mrs. Dodds, Mrs.
Grace Scott and Mrs. Sadie Scott.

Sunday to visit Mr. meredith's
