14-yearrold son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Corbett, RR 1 Exeter showed
the Most net gain of 512 pounds
since it arrived lathe area from

also judged the best finished calf.
Cerbett's awarding winning
animal was purchased in the
auction sale that followed the
judging by Canada Packers for
40 1/4 cents Per Pound.
Runner-up in the finish de-
partment, receiving the reserve
champion trophy, was Brad Har-
greave's calf Which was pur-
chased by Al's Meat Market of
Hensall for 351/2 cents.
Top showman of the 51 mem-
bers that showed their calves
before a large crowd of interest-
ed spectators was Bob kinsman
while Les Coleman received the
junior showmanship award.
Scholl's Market in Hensall also
purchased the Kinsman entry at
33 1/2 cents while Roy Scotch-
mer paid 32 1/2 cents for Cole-
man's calf.
Second place in the net gain
department went to Linda Hack-
ney and her calf, which tipped
the scales Tuesday at 941 for a
net gain of 4'76 pounds. Linda's
calf was purchased by United
Co-Operatives of Ontario for
32 1/2 cents.
