Make improvements at park
Parks and PUC workmen have been busy this past week making improvements to Riverview Park. The
PUC drained the reservoir above the dam and then sprayed it to combat weeds. The photo above shows
the small amount of water left, but it has now been replenished. Below, Gary Middleton looks on as Brian
Sweitzer clears stones from the streams below the darn. It is hoped that by clearing the streams the
water will remain in them throughout the summer months. John Roelas is also busy at the park and
has the grass and flower beds in top shape for the coming summer months. The park has already been
the scene of several family picnics this year and will be used extensively throughout the summer. Kids
will be invading it this weekend when the swimming pool will be opened. T-A photo
