Mr. Brokenshire was also a Zurich and Area Chamber Of Commerce member, He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Mary Kalb- fleisch; one son, Allan of Zurich; and one sister, Mrs. Thomas (Vera) Peachey, Detroit. St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, WILLIAM C. ALLISQN One of EXeter's most promin- ent citizens, William C. Allison, passed away at Victoria Hospital in London on Monday. He was 61 years old. Mr. Allison had farmed on his Thames Road property which had been in the Allison name for over 100 years, and then operated a British. American Oil dealership in Exeter for several years. A former Exeter town coun- cillor, member of the Lions, Ag- ricultural Society and past noble grand in the Oddfellows, Mr. Al- lison was a member of the Exeter Cemetery Board and of James Street United Church official board. He was treasurer of Southcott pines parkland Ltd. when he died. Mr. Allison was also an enthusi- astic curler and belonged to the Exeter Curling Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Rowe; two sist- ers, Mrs. Henry (Ann) Shreiner of Hastings-on-Hudson, N e w York, and Mrs. A. W. (Jean) Morgan, Exeter; and one brother, Charles Allison, Exeter. An IOOF service on Tuesday night at the Dinney Funeral Home was conducted by fellow lodge members. Public funeral service was Wednesday afternoon with Rev. S. E. Lewis and the Rev. Harold Snell officiating. Following a committal service at the funeral home, the body was taken to Woodland Crematorium for cremation with the remains to be buried at Exeter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Hodgins, Bruce Shapton, Al Morgan, Bev Morgan, Fred Ellerington and Bev Dekay. Funeral service was on Mon- day from the Bonthron Funeral Home conducted by Rev. John C. Boyne. Interment was in Exeter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom, Sam, Malcolm, Harry, Andrew and William Dougall. MRS. BERTHA BAKER Funeral service for Mrs. Ber- tha Baker, wife of Arthur Bak- er, Granton, was held Tuesday afternoon from the C. Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan with Rev.
