Instal gate at Exeter dump
In an effort to curtail unauthorized use and dumping in the wrong places, Exeter council have had a gate
installed at their dump in Hay Township and persons wishing to use it must secure a key from the
cleric's office or the poll c e station. One problem involved with the new gate is already evident -
people just throw things over the fence. T-A photo

BLOSSOM TEA
The highlight of the week was
the UCW blossom tea with Dr.
George Goth of Metropolitan
United Church, London as guest
speaker. Dr. Goth in his most
captivating manner used as his
subject "The Sound and The
Fury". He said "we are living
in a catastrophic age and we
have to adjust ourselves to what
is happening in the world. We
need more r oughness- rough
people have been creative peo-
ple. Our loyalties are too small,
we must overcome our littleness
and remember that God has no
favorites."
Mrs. Harvey Smith presided
and extended a welcome to the
visiting ladies from surround-
ing community churches. The
Hensall and Grand Bend organiz-
ations each contributed a vocal
solo to the program. Other num-
bers were a solo by Mrs. Ross
McFalls and a vocal duet by
Mrs. Russell Wilson and Mrs.
Victor Drought with Mrs. Ken-
neth Hodgins playing the ac-
companiment.
The speaker was introduced
by Mrs. Ken Greb and thanked
by Mrs. Fred Bowden. Blossoms
and spring flowers were taste-
fully arranged to make an at-
tractive setting for the program
and tea.
