Hensall Kinsmen observed
their 14th anniversary with a
banquet at the Hensall Arena F ri-
day, April 26, with president Bob
Caldwell in the chair. Over one
hundred Kinsmen and wives at-
tended from Montreal, Fonthill,
Burlington, Preston, Kitchener,
Essex, Toronto, London, Somcoe,
Sarnia, Hanover, Clinton, Exeter
and Hensall.

the presentation of life member-
ships in Kin to three members
of the Hensall Club, Bill Mickle,
Past Governor and National Of-
ficer, presentation made by Gov.
Bill Watson; Jack Drysdale, Past
National Director of Kin Maga-
zine, presentation by Hal Tag-
gart; Harold Knight, Past Dist-
• rict Officer, presentation byJohn
Baker a past president.
Mrs. Jack Drysdale was pre-
sented with an award in appreci-
ation of her service in the Kin-
ette club for the past 14 years.

play at festival .
Thursday, April 25, the fol-
lowing competed in the piano
classes -at the Mitchell Music
Festival. Mrs. D. A. McKeller,
adjudicator for the day, awarded
these marks: Grade 3, playing
Bourree in G, Tony Kyle 80;
Grade 4, Monkeys In The Tree,
Gail Travers '77 and Linda Bell
84; piano duet, Bicycle. Gallop,
Linda Beer and Susan Luther 81.
The foregoing are pupils of

spent the weekend with his par-
ents, Mr. & Mrs. Laird Mickle.

Hensall, and opened for business

Hensall Kinette Club are hav-
ing their annual Spring Rummage
sale this Saturday, May 4 at 2 pm
at the local arena.
A turkey and ham smorgasbord
will be held Saturday, May 4 at
St. Paul's Anglican Church from
5 to 7 pm.
About thirty friends and rela-
tives of Miss Ruth Gibson, Lon-
don, a former resident of Shipka
attended a shower in her honor
last Saturday night. Games and
contests were played. Many use-
ful and beautiful, gifts were opened
and Ruth thanked each and every
one.
Guests were present from Lon-
don, Crediton, Sylvan and Dash-
wood. Everyone enjoyed lunch
and wished her well in her new
home in London. She's to be
married May 25 to Mr. Wayne
Humphries, London.
