Grand Bend WI was held in the
town hall following a dessert
luncheon served by Mrs. Alex
Hamilton, Mrs. Art Finkbeiner,
Mrs. Myrtle McGregor and Mrs.
Arlo Stucky. The program was
in charge of Citizenship Convener
Mrs. Emery DesJardins. She had
a panel who discussed Expo and
what Centennial year meant to

Mrs. Elgin Webb, Mrs. Ed Gill,
Mrs. Hugh Morenz and Mr.Mur-
ray DesJardins.
Roll call was to name a Cabinet
member of either the Federal or
Provincial Government and state
his or her portfolio. The motto

bequeathed to thee, earn it anew
if thou wouldst possess it.
Mrs. Nola Taylor president,
presided for business. An in-
vitation was read from the 4-H
girls for Wi members to attend
their tea in the United Church
on April 6. Mrs. Elgin Webb
was appointed delegate to officers
Conference in Guelph.
Mrs. Ed Gill, Mrs. Wm Love,
Mrs. Colin Love were named
to the nominating committee.
All conveners are to have re-

seau's two-storey chicken barn
about 50 x 100 feet was burned
to the ground.
A strong, northerly wind at
the time, threatened the sur-
rounding homes and much credit
is due the firemen in the effort
they have shown in saving the
other buildings near by. The
same night one of Mr. Norman
Dickert's front windo ws was
blown in.
