Mr. and Mrs. William Motz, Crediton, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary Wednesday. Following their marriage in London March
27, 1918 they made their home inCrediton East where they still live.
Mr. Motz was employed in the Crediton Tile Yard for 28 years and.
later at CFB, Centralia for 18 years. Mrs. Motz is T-A correspond-

It was decided to hold a picnic
at Dashwood Community Park
Wednesday, July 24. A hand paint-
ed quilt on which tickets were
sold was won by Miss Ruth Skin-
ner, Elimyille, It realized $35.25.

Couple mark
anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Frank parsons,
RR 1 Hensall, celebrated their
40th wedding anniversary Sat-
urday, March 16.
Their son-in-law and daugh-
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Laird Finlay-
son treated them to 6 o'clock
dinner at the Dominion Hotel,
Zurich. Upon returning to the
Finlayson home they were greet-
ed by the rest of the family with
21 in attendance.
Progressive euchre was play-
ed. The celebrants received many
gifts.

euchre at the Community Centre
Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs.

ess for the evening.

Wallis; consolation, John Eglitis.

tives In Toronto. Saturday even-

ing under the auspices of the
Latvian Relief Society. Mrs.
Beitans doing the recital for the
evening.

Staffa hall Friday evening with
