On the evening of Tuesday,
March 12, Crediton UCW held
the regular monthly meeting, with
Mrs. Earl Pickering, assisted
by Mrs. Ross Pickering, in
charge of the worship. Misses
Nancy and Susan Pickering sang
"The Old Rugged Cross".
Mrs. Sam King presented a
picture story of a chapter from
the study book on Japan,
Mrs. Earl Neil conducted the
business. An invitation to meet
with the Zion ladies on April
4 at 8:15 pm was accepted. The
supply committee requested that
the members, during their spring
cleaning, gather used clothing
for a bale to be packed in the
near future, and save used nylons
and greeting cards. All ladies
are asked to note the change of
time for the regular April meet-
ing. It is to be held Monday,
April 8.
Hostesses were Mrs. Nelson
Lamport and Mrs. Doug Gallo-
way.
The congregational potluck
supper of CreditonUnited Church
was held Friday, March 15. About
thirty-five members attended.
After the supper Rev. Douglas
Warren conducted a sing song,
with Miss Elaine Powe at the
piano. Perry Preszcator played
two piano solos, and Mrs. Ruby
Molitor gave a humorous read-
ing.
Mr. Warren showed a film
which depicted the missionary
work of the church.

The second meeting of the
adult group was held in the
schoolroom of the United Church
Thursday evening.
Mr. Peter Raymond, Exeter,
lawyer, addressed the group on
the importance of having a " Will"
and outlined some of the diffi-
culties that can arise over fail-
ure to have one.
One the program was a song
service led by Mr. Cecil Skinner
with Mrs. Leda Sorensen at the
piano. Mr. Lloyd Morgan gave
an interesting account of the
life of St. Patrick followed with
a reading. A piano duet by Mrs.
Alvin Essery and Mrs. Sorensen
was greatly enjoyed.
Mr. Kenneth Hodgins was as-
sisted by Mr. Cecil Skinner in
conducting the devotional part of
the meeting.
UNITE UC CHARGES
The Presbytery of Huron and
Perth have approved the amal-
gamation of Zion West and Cen-
tralia United Churches in the
formation of a pastoral charge.
This will take effect on July 1
when the Rev. Robert Wilson
will be in charge of both churches.
Terms were agreed upon at a
friendly meeting of the official
boards of the churches on Sunday
afternoon in the Centr al i a
Church.

who was killed in a car accident
