Miss Margaret Dykstra,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.
Dykstra, RR 1 Lakeside, ex-
changed marriage vows with
Gerald John Klopper, Exeter, son
of Mr. and Mrs. J. Klopper,
Bowmanville, in the Christian
Reformed Church, Exeter, on
Saturday, March 16 at 2 pm.
Rev. D. J. Scholten officiated at
the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er the bride wore a gown of
white peau de sole with lace
bodice, empire waistline and lily
point sleeves. She carried abou-
quet of mums, red roses and
trailing hyacinths.
Maid of honor was Miss Wilma
Verkerk, Grand Rapids, USA,
wearing a floor-length gown of
blue pea.0 de charm with bell
sleeves. She carried yellow and
white mums. Bridesmaids, Miss
Zita Dykstra, Medina, and Miss
Nellie Klopper, Bowmanville,
were gowned similarly to the
maid of honor.
Henk Van Hatten, Bowman-
ville was best man and Nick
Dykstra and Sam Klopper ushered
guests. Mrs. C. Verkerlc, Cred-
iton, played the wedding music.
A reception was held at Dash-
wood Community Centre. The
bride's mother received guests
in a green sheath with lace over-
coat and matching hat. The
groom's mother assisted in a
blue sheath with lace bodice.
For a honeymoon to be spent
in Florida the bride travelled in
a pink lace dress and lade green
coat with matching accessories

Cooper; fancy, Mrs. Wm. Rout,
1Y, Mrs. Freeman Horne; Fun-
niest, Mrs. Gilbert Johns, Mrs.
Ross Skinner.
The April meeting will be the
Annual Meeting.

A family gathering was spent
in Russeldale Hall Saturday even-
ing, March 16, celebrating the
40th wedding anniversary of Mr.
and Mrs. Heber Shute who were
married March 17, 1928.
An enjoyable evening was spent
playing crokinole and euchre.
Prize winners were: ladies high,
Mrs. Jim Howett of Londsboro;
lone hands, Mrs. Jack Robinson
of Mitchell; men's high, Jadk
Robinson, Mitchell; lone hands,
Jack Hodgert, RR 1 Kirkton.
Children's lucky numbers; Larry
Howett of Lo n d e sborot Nancy
Scott of Mitchell.
Mr. and Mrs. Shute were pre-
sented with gifts and made suit-
able replies. Lunch was served
by the family, Mr. and Mrs. John
Barr, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ross,
Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Shute, Mr.
Edwin Shute. The bride and groom
of 40 years passed the wedding
cake.
