Accident victims buried

CROMARTY
Funeral service was held for
two area residents Mr. & Mrs.
Thomas Laing who were killed
in a traffic accident on Friday,
February 9. The service was
held at the Heath-Leslie funeral
home Mitchell, on Monday and
was conducted by Rev. John
Boyne minister of Cromarty
Presbyterian church.
Both Mr. & Mrs. Laing were
natives of Hibbert township where
they had been active members
in the community.
Mr. Laing was a war veteran
of the first world war. He was
an elder in Cromarty Presby-
terian church and also treasurer
of the church. He was an enthus-
iastic curler,
Mr. & Mrs. Laing are sur-
vived by sons Robert and Gor-
don of Cromarty and a daughter

Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Exeter has deter-
mieed OW it is desirable ter
the Corporation to levy charges
for the work involved in reMov,
ing etoppages in. sewers.
THEREFORE the 'Municipal
council of the Teem of Exeter
enacts as follows;
1. When Town employees are
required to remove or correct
stoppages in sewer laterals
which occur hetween the Main
trunk sewer and the building
connection, the expenses 'so in-
volved will be at -the expense
of the property owner concern-
ed, unless the stoppage has
been caused by a faulty instal-
lation of the lateral.
2. The Corporation may re-
cover the expense incurred by
direct payment or recovered in
like manner as municipal taxes.
3. This by-law ehell come in-
to full force and effect upon
the final passing thereof.,
