To elect Four Directors to replace those whose term of office expires and the deceased director, and to transact all business as may done at a general meeting of policy- holders. The retiring directors are Edward Lamport, Centralia, and Jack Scotohmer, Hayfield, who are eligible for re-election. Also to fil the vacancy of the ate Harvey Taylor for a three-year term. There will be a separate ballot to fill the vacancy of Edmond Hendrick, Crediton, for a two- year term. Mr. Hendrick has resigned from office, effective February 24, 1968, to fill the position as agent, due to the death of the late William Haugh. Fifteen members and the Rev. E. 0. Lancaster were present. It was announced the Day of Prayer would be held at 2 pm in the United Church, Friday, March 1. Members were asked to attend the Ash Wednesday communion service at 10:30 am. Educational convener, Mrs. Frank Hardy read an interest- ing article on the Psalms, en- titled "The Hymnbook of Human- ity", after which the president, Mrs. Jack Murdy, read three short articles. Mrs. Lancaster offered her home for the March meeting with Mrs. Ankers and Miss Lina Abbott as a lunch committee. PENTECOSTAL During the winter, Wednes- day prayer meetings have been held in the homes. Last Wed- nesday's meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo- rge Eizenga with the former in charge, as the pastor, Rev. Gordon McDonald was in Tor- onto all week on a business trip. SOCIAL EVENING The Couples' Club is holding a social evening at the Com- munity Centre, Friday evening, Feb. 16 in an attempt to raise funds for the building fund. ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH XXX St. Patrick's CWL Lucan held its regular monthly meeting, Feb. 4, in the gymtorium with 13 members present.
