met in the schoolroom last Tues-
day evening. The president Mrs.
Emerson Stanley presided and
Mrs. Bert Thompson had charge
of the worship service. She was
assisted by Mrs. Gordon Froats
at Mrs. Don Maguire.
Mrs. Dave Park completed the
study book, “The Church inCan-
ada."

tended, once a week for eight
weeks, beginning November 1,
meetings of the London, Middle-
sex Emergency Measures Or-
ganization. On Jan. 17, each re-
ceived a restricted radio-tele-
phone operator's certificate from
the department of transport in
Toronto. A tower will, in the
near future, be erected in the
village, probably at the Muni-
cipal Building.
