marks 95 years
Mr. J. F. W. Paterson, Tor-
onto, formerly of Hensall will
celebrate his 95th birthday Sun-
day, December 24. Mr. Paterson
is quite well for his advanced
years both physically and men-
tally.
He left Hensel' in 190'7 and has
lived in Toronto sixty years, and
followed the same business (car-
pentering) that he learned with
his late father in Hensall, only
in more of &partnership in larger
concerns that he fully enjoyed.
Today he looks at so many sky
scrapers going up, good buildings
taken down that he used to con-
tract for for the building mater-
ial to have them built.
Mr. Paterson retired when he
was 82, just a few years before
the death of his wife, the former
Marion Sproat MacGregor pass-
ed away in 1955.
Their son Sproat retired last
Friday, after being connected for
38 years with the George McLeod
Builders Supply Cement com-
pany. Mr. Paterson says he will
always have a soft place in his
heart for Hensall,
