will attend Achievement Day at
Medway School Saturday. They
have presented their leaders Mrs.
Richard Worthington and Mrs.
Jim Donaldson with a centennial
cup and saucer each.
Miss Doreen Drury of McGil-
livray Township, visited Satur-
day with Susan Hardy celebrat-
ing her 13th birthday,
Mrs. Mervin Carter has been
in South Huron Hospital since
Thursday. She is principal of
Ailsa Craig School,
Joe Merriman, son of Mr. &
Mrs, Pat Merriman, returned
home this week from St. Joseph's
Hospital where he had an appendix
operation.
The Anglican Church Women
plan to hold their meeting this
month at the home of Mrs, Alan
Hill.

Tickets are still available for
any area residents wishing to at-
tend the Exeter centennial dinner
to be held at the Legion hail,
Wednesday.
This will be one of the final
events during a busy centennial
year in this community.
Six men have been nominated
for the title of "Citizen of the
Year" and these names will be
revealed at the dinner and all
will receive plaques for their ef-
forts, with the winner's being
slightly more elaborate.
Entertainment at the event will
be supplied by Mrs. Russell Lee,
Mrs. Ross Mathers, Mrs. Bob
Haugh, Tom Walker and other
local entertainers.
Tickets are available at the
Exeter PUC or clerk's office.

Grand Bend council meeting and
obtained a grant of $500 to assist
in operating the four Grand Bend
clubs that will be participating
in the Lambton-Middlesex league.
Mrs. Art Haist, Mrs. Pat Har-
rison, Mrs. Griff Thomas, Carl
Rood, Theodore Kelder, Jack
Eagleson and Ron Gunning make
up the finance committee and the
first three mentioned made up
the delegation that approached
council for the grant.
The squirt club coached by
Don Flear and Murray DesJar-
dins will be playing in a group
with Parkhill, Arkon a, Ailsa
Craig, Forest, Thedford. and
Kettle point in regular league
play.
The GB bantams under the di-
rection of Al Parker, Bruce Stan-
lake and Stan Lovie are grouped
with clubs from Parkhill, Arkona,
Ailsa Craig, Forest, Kettle Point
and Thedford-Bosanquet.
Erwin Bestard and Dick Coult-
er will be coaching the midgets
that are in a grouping with Park-
hill, Ailsa Craig, Thedford and
Kettle Point.
All home games of the Grand
Bend teams will be played at the
Thedford arena while some prac-
tice time has been secured at the
Zurich arena.
