ALL OVER ONTARIO
It's no secret, An Ariens Sno-Thro costs lots more than a snow shovel.
It should, it does much more. For one thing, a 2-stage Ariens cuts
through after'blizzard drifts quickly, dependably. Takes on any type
snow — clears it easily. An Ariens Sno-Thro gives you a feeling of
power -- a way of putting Old Man Winter in his place. All Ariens
Sno•Thros have 4 forward speeds, power reverse, directional discharge
chute. The Ezee.Start 4 hp, 5 hp, 6 hp and 7 hp engines are winter.

A very close battle for all
positions in the Exeter mixed
dart league continued again in
Friday's weekly action as four of
the five games played ended in
3-2 scores.
The Hairpins with a season
total of 31 points retained their
two-point margin over the Dart
$harks who hold down second
spot. The cleaners with a three
point night moved into sole pos-
session of third place and a
little closer to the leaders with
a point total of 28,
All of the leaders in the re-
spective divisions of the indi-
vidual standings maintained their
positions although a couple of
performers increased their
leads, Edna Dietz and John Link
each notched a win to up their
respective season totals to 11
and 15.
Annie Lawson's 130 continues
as the best ladies' high single
score recorded to date and Ger-
ald Lawson and Larry Estey with
similar 140 scores are at the top
of the men's ladder.
Last week's scores were:
Legionnaires 4-= Four B's 1
Cleaners 3 — Hairpins 2
Spares 3 — Turtles 2
Featherflights 3 —Dart Sharks 2

The three Exeter minor hockey
clubs participating in Shamrock
hockey league play picked up a
full compliment of wins in Wed-
nesday's weekly tripleheader at
the arena against Huron Heights
in their only starts of the week.
The pee wees opened the night
on the right foot with a con-
vincing 8-2 win, the bantams
followed with a 6-2 triumph,
and the midgets finished up the
three game sweep with a 2-0
shut-out win.
Perry Stover continues to lead
the pee wee attack every time
they take to the ice. The young
speedster whipped in four goals
in the lopsided decision over
Huron, Other Exeter goals were
fired in single fashion by Steve
Harrison, Bill VanBergen, Ricky
Stagg and Paul Robinson.
In the bantam victory. Pete
Glover was the only local per-
former to find the mark twice,
while single scores were notch-
ed by Larry Bourne, Peter
Kleinstiver, John Krampp and
Randy Preszcator.
The midget win was due to
the fine goal tending of John
Hayter in the Exeter nets and
one goal performances from Tom
Prout and Steve Murley.
Win Hensall second draw
A quartet of curlers from the Hensall-Kippen area were awarded top prize in the second draw of a
Kinsmen bonspiel held in Hensall, Sunday. Shown above are the successful sweepers, from left, John
Link, skip Bill Coleman, Jack Dietz and Fred Funk. T-A photo
