Saturday for the household ef-
fects of the late Mrs. Pearl
Murdy, at her late Alice St.
residence. A large crowd lined
the streets, but, owing to the
cold wind, many left early. A
number of antique dealers from
as far away as Detroit, were
present.
MUSHROOMS SCARCE
For years Mr. Aljoe Culbert
has picked baskets of mushrooms
on his farm on Concession 5
Biddulph but this year they have
been very scarce — only a couple
dozen all Fall. However last
Thursday he picked the largest
one he ever saw. It measured
eight inches across, with an extra
large stem.
