Mark thanksgiving at Clandeboye

CLANDEBOYE
Harvest Thanksgiving was held
at St, James Sunday when the rec-
tor, Rev. E. O. Lancaster,
brought the message to a good
crowd. The decorations were
flowers, white glads on retable
sheaf of wheat, a loaf of bread
and grapes, on altar other flow-
ers were used, also vegetables.
Next Sunday, Oct. 1 will be
confirmation at 11:15 a.m. when
Bishop G. N. Luxton DD,LLD
will administer the rite of con-
firmation.
Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Millson,
Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Millson and
Debbi e visited Mr. & Mrs.
Beckett Sunday in Kitchener.
Mrs. Gordon Cunningham is
a patient in Victoria Hospital.
Her mother, Mrs. Minnie Volk,
Parkhill, is staying in the home.
Mrs. Max Bloy e, London,
daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harry
Murless, participated in the
dedication of the out-door chapel
at Lambton Division, Girl Guide
Camp at Rock Glen, near Arkona

There were still many attractions
Rain washed out many of the attractions at the Exeter Fair, but patrons who huddled under every avail-
able cover still found some good entertainment in watching the kids racing back and forth over the flooded

known as Rally Sunday, at the
United Church.
Presentation of awards took
place and the message was given
by Rev. Neville S. Neil from
Kingston, Jamaica, a visitor with
Rev, and Mrs. G. W. Sach.

"Clandeboye Groomed Girls",
the 4-I-I Homemaking Club, com-
menced the new project "Being
Well-Dressed and Well-Groom-
ed," with Mrs. Richard Worth-
ington and Mrs. Jim Donaldson
as leaders and 16 members,
They are Cathy Coughlin, Lor-
raine Arts, Linda Hardy, Kathryn
Worthington, Mary Mohr, Caro-
lyn Hardy, Carol Trevithick, Ha-
zel Simpson, Helen Simpson, Su-
san Hardy, Joan Lewis, Joan Don-

demonstrated correct way to put a
patch on material. Every one had
to put on a patch. Second meeting
will be September 16 with dis-
cussion on qualities for an at-
tractive girl and planning for a
duster.
