Crediton and district students
are returning to classes. At the
University of Western Ontario
Ron Weber, following summer
employment at Crescent Finance,
London, is beginning his fourth
year of Honours Business Admin-
istration.
Judy Finkbeiner, employed at
Paramount Decorators, London,
since the spring term, is in her
final year of Pass Arts, English
and French major.
Barrie Morlock has enrolled
for his first year in the Natural
Science course,
Margaret Hoist is taking her
second year of the course in
Nursing. She spent the summer
putting theory into practice at
Parkwood Hospital.
Two return to the University
of Waterloo. This is Elyse Lam-
port's second year in Geography,
John Brown's second in Math-
Bernadette Mater of Slinege on
Monday,
Mrs. Bill Kegler and baby re-
turned home from South Huron
Hospital this week,
Mr, and .Mrs. Tony Conlin. re,
turned home from their honey-
moon last week.

the funeral of their sister, Mrs.

Wilhelmina Verkerk is, for the
second year, attending Calvin
College at Grand Rapids, Michi-
gan. This year her sister Jennie
has joined her.

The September meeting of the
Ladies Aid of Zion Lutheran
Church was held Wednesday, Sep-
tember 13, with Group 1 and Mrs.
Lorne Genttner, convener, in
charge of devotions and lunch.
Janice and Jayne Hayter sang
duets accompanied by Janet Mil-
ler.
Pastor E. E. Steinman took as
the topic, "Attitudes about
Money".
Mrs. Leonard Schenk, presi-
dent, dealt with the business.
The Ladies Aid Fowl supper will
be held in October with group
2 in charge. The fall rally of
the LWML will be in Mitchell
October 2.
The Altar Guild for September
is Mrs. Lorne Genttner and Mrs.
Reinhold Miller.
CUBS AT LONDON FIRE HALL
Wednesday evening twenty-
seven cubs of the Crediton Pack
enjoyed a visit to London's fire
hall. The genial firemen display-
ed their equipment, showed three
fire prevention films, and pat-
iently answered questions from
their interested guests, ques-
tions such as: How fast do you
go in the fire engine? Did you
ever get a ticket for speeding?
How much sleep do you get?
How can you get up the ladder
with all that heavy equipment?

spent a few days with Mrs. Freida

Canada and spent three weeks
with Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Klumpp and Brad. While she was
here along with Mrs. Klumpp and
Brad visited Expo 67.

Miss Olive Speare was hostess
for the September meeting of the
Ladies' Aid. Mrs. Gerald Carey
presided and opened the meeting
with a poem followed with de-
votions. Twelve members ans-
wered the roll by naming an In-
dian Tribe.
Business followed and read-
ings were given by Mrs. Charles
Douglas. Lunch was served by
the hostess assisted by Mrs.
John Miller and Mrs. John Tern-
pleman.

The Senior Citizens Club met
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Jefferson for the Septem-
ber meeting. Mrs. Thos. Laing
presided and Mrs. Robert Mc-
Caughey presided at the piano for
a singsong. Nineteen members
answered the roll call.
It was agreed that the meetings
be held in the afternoon at 2 pm,
the next meeting falling on Oc-
tober 10, with Thanksgiving as
the topic. Mrs. Bowman and Mrs.
Parker were named as program
committee and Mrs. Wilber Mill-
er and Miss Olive S pear e for
lunch conveners. Several read-
ings were given.

Inta and Janis Beitans attended
a wiener roast party at the home
of Mr. & Mrs. Alf Udris, Komoka,
Saturday afternoon.
Dace Beitans, daughter of Mr.
& Mrs. Arvid Beitans, took part
in a target shooting match Satur-
day at the Crumlin Sports Club
under the auspices of the Latvian
Relief Society Canada. She ob-
tained first place in her group for
London making 99 out of 100
points.
Mr. & Mrs. Norman Hodgins
entertained the rehearsal party,
Friday evening at their home for
the Hodgins--Gee wedding Satur-
day. Those attending the wedding
