Friday evening had Miss Lina Abbott known a drunk man was sleeping in her sun porch, her pleasure in the North Middle- sex Music Festival concert, at the Community Centre, would no doubt have been marred. One of Miss Abbott's neighbors who knew she was at the concert, watched the man enter the sun porch. When he didn't come out, he came over to investigate and found the man sound asleep in the swing and got him out. Next morning, when Miss Ab- bott went to sweep, she found a book and papers on the floor. She blamed children. It wasn't until Saturday afternoon, when her neighbor phoned her, did she learn she had had a Friday evening "uninvited guest". Either the same drunk or his companion entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mert Culbert, who had neglected to lock their back door, when they went to the Music concert. The man was hungry, so helped himself even to frying eggs. Not satisfied to eat in the kitchen he went to the dining- room table, where the children had spread all their Festival cer- tificates etc. These he apparently read with greasy fingers. Before leaving, he robbed Jeff's bank, containing a $10 bill and a num- ber of silver dollars he had won at a number of contests. The police are investigating.
