Sunday, April 16 at St. James
Church, the Rev. E. 0. Lan-
caster, rector, dedicated a brass
baptismal ewer in memory of
the late Rev. Kenneth McGoun
given by his wife, Mrs. Edna
McGoun.
Mr. McGoun was rector Oc-
tober 1, 1919 to Feb. 1931. He
followed Rev. Wm Lowe, 1910-
1919 who had started to clean
up the cemetery. The members
remember Mr. McGrun for his
great interest in this work. Dur-
ing his incumbency the cemetery
had an endowment fund estab-
lished for permanent care and a
lot of work was accomplished.
The second consecration ser-
vice was held May 1, 1921 for
a new range by the late Bishop
David Williams. Then the first
decoration and memorial ser-
vice was held Sept. 9, 1923 with
a procession and decoration of
graves.
The late Joseph Armitage,
caretaker, with his cane, went
and showed where the member
was buried. An officer called
out the name of lodge and names.
