The occasion was marked by a phone call from another grand- daughter and daughter, Mrs. Ger- ald Keyes of New Brunswick, CHRISTOPHER I3EIERLING Christopher 13 eie rl ing, 70, passed away at his late residence Concession 17, Hay Township, Saturday, April 22. Besides his wife, the former Thelma Vincent he is survived by two sons, Ray and Harvey and one daughter, Thelma, all at home; two brothers, William of Dashwood and Arthur of Exeter. The funeral was held at the T, Harry Hoffman funeral home, Tuesday, April 25 with Rev. E. E. Steinman in charge. Inter- ment was made in Grand Bend cemetery. pallbearers were Jack Pepper, Norman and Russell Fischer, Donald Adams, Adolph Keller and Manford Luther. MEN HOST RALLY The Evangelical United Breth- ren Men's Rally for the Stratford district was held at the Dash- wood church, Wednesday, April 19. Mr. Gerald Moorehead from Rostock, the district leader, was chairman for the service. The Sebringville men lead in a de- votional period. The Tavistock men provided a male quartet. By MRS. W. Alex is at present con- fined to the hospital at Kirkland Lake where he underwent sur- gery. Mr. Hugh Scott, Guelph and Mr. David Scott, London, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. & Mrs. T. L. Scott. Mrs. M. Lamond and Mrs. T. L. Scott attended sessions of the Hamilton and London Synodical which was held in St. Andrew's church, Stratford, last week. Mr. & Mrs. Norman Jefferson and family of Munro were Sun- day evening visitors with Mr. & Mrs. J. R. Jefferson. Mrs. E. Moore, Mrs. T. L. Scott and Mr. David Scott visit- ed with Mrs. Jennie Wilson at the Blue Water Rest Home, Zur- ich, Sunday. She was born in Dashwood, the former Anne Vincent. She is survived by one daughter (Daryl), Mrs. Wm. Maier of Mono Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Ferdin- and Schroeder of Galt; Mrs. Em- ma Koebel, Plattsville; brothers Joel, Preston, Daniel, Jacob, Carl, Rudolph all of RR 2 Grand. Bend; also two grandchildren. Mr. & Mrs. Russell Pollock of London called on several rela- tives here Sunday. Mrs. Orval Mellin entertained friends and relatives at a trous- seau tea Saturday in honor of her daughter, Maxine, whose wedding to Mr. Wayne Hughes takes place in the United church Saturday. Rey. Howard Zurbrigg of Credit- on was organist for the evening. The guest speaker was Rev. A. Leis, a Mennonite missionary who served in Africa. Greetings and promotion of the Conference Men's work was presented by the conference E1,113 men president, Mr. Charles Forbeck from Ham- ilton, Rev. George Sim, Listowel and Mr. Walter pletch, Ayton. A fellowship time followed in the Sunday School rooms with the ladies from Mrs. Stuart Wolfe's group serving lunch. Be careful to prevent forest fire- The service was held from the T. Harry Hoffman funeral home Thursday, April 20 with Rev. E, E. Steinman officiating. Interment was made in the Luth eran cemetery. PERSONALS Mrs. Wm Haugh and Mrs. Elmer Rader spent the weekend at Pigeon, Mich. with Mrs. Eliz- abeth Schumacher and family. Mr. John Prance of Exeter called on relatives here last Wednesday, Baptismal service will be held in the United Church on Sunday at 10 am. Mr. & Mrs. Elton Curts and Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Curts visited Sunday with relatives at Capoc, Michigan. A successful bazaar and tea was held in the United Church last Friday. Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Schenk and family and Mr. Sam Miller visited with Mr. 4 Mrs. M. W, Schenk in Walkerton, Sunday. Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Rader and family were Mr. & Mrs. Garnet Weiberg and family of Waterloo and M. & Mrs. Leonard Prang, Allan and Edward of Zurich. Mr. Herb Geiser of Dearborn, Mich., visited with his brother Chester last week and attended the funeral of Miss Pearl Geiser. Mr. & Mrs. Ray Kretzman of Detroit and Mrs. Bruce. Seebach and children of Hamilton visited Tuesday with Mrs. Cora Geiser. They attended the funeral of Miss pea.r1Gaiser. Mrs. Cora Geiser returned to Hamilton with her daughter Mrs. Seebach. Mr. Garnet Willert returned home from South Huron Hospital, Exeter last Wednesday.
