Wednesday afternoon the East-
er meeting of the United Church
Women was held with Mrs. Mac
Hodgert as hostess. Mrs. Stewart
Miner was in charge of the wor-
ship service which was ail based
on the Easter theme.
Mrs. Miner portrayed the
evangel and Mrs. Arnold Cann,
Mrs. Murray Dawson, Mrs. Ed-
win Miller, Mrs. Almer Pass-
more, Mrs, Floyd Stewart and
Mrs. William Rohde were the
disciples in "The Challenge of
the Cross". Mrs. Donald Bray
and Miss Doris Elford provided
the music accompanied by Mrs.
Lloyd Knight.
Mrs. Miner gave a talk on her
recent meeting at Woodstock.
PERSONAL
The annual Sunday S c ho o 1
meeting was held Monday even-
ing in the church basement to
plan about the anniversary in
June.
Miss Dianne Hutton of Elim-
ville spent the weekend with Miss
Carolyn Kellett.
Mrs. William Ferguson is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.
Some eighteen ladies from this
community attended the service
at Elimville Friday evening when
Miss Audrey Finkbeiner showed
her pictures and also gave a talk
on her work at St. Lucia.

Mr. & Mrs. Donald Bray, Rob-
ert, Janet and Ruth were Sunday
evening guests with Mr. & Mrs.
William Elford, Ronald and

CGIT members and leaders re-
cently enjoyed a bus trip to
London where they toured the
Children's Psychiatric Research
Institute and the B'Nai Israel
Synogogue.
HEAR MISSIONARY
The Elimville UCW entertained
the ladies of Munro Thames Road,
Zion and Centralia UCW Friday
evening at Elimville Church.
Mrs. Wm Routly addressed the
meeting and Mrs. Stewart Miner
gave the devotional.
Mrs. Routly introduced the
guest speaker for the evening,
Miss Audrey Finkbeiner, of Lon-
don, who gave a very interesting
talk and showed pictures of her
work as missionary at St. Lucia
Island in the West Indies. Miss
Finkbeiner has been home on
furlough for several months but
will return to St. Lucia again in
September. The Island, itself, is
only 2'7 miles long and 14 miles
wide and lies just north of South
Quite a number from this corn-
munity attended the Passmere
cousins party at Elimville Sat-
urday evening.
Sunday morning last during the
church hour Mrs. Wayne Rowe
had her church membership'
transferred from St, James Ang-
lican Church, Clandeboye and
Mr. & Mrs. Howard Cunnington
and Charles Miner joined the
'church by profession of faith.
The Messengers met during
the church hour Sunday morning.
Mrs. Stewart Miner spoke on her
recent work with the Indians.
