The March meeting of the Cen-
tralia Whalen men's club was
held in the schoolroom of the
church Friday night with Bill
Essery presiding.
T h e devotional part of the
meeting was conducted by Ken-
neth Hodgins. Ross Rowe of Ex-
eter was the pianist and delighted
his listeners with several piano
selections.
Singing in their best voices,
were "The Brothers Four," -
Bill Essery, Robert Blair, Sam
Skinner and Allan Buswell who
favoured with a number of songs.
Vocal duets were sung by Ross
and Audrey McFalls with Ross
playing the guitar accompani-
ment.
A film "The First Easter" was
shown with Sam Skinner in charge
of the projector.
YPU
Easter week was a busy one
for the Centralia Whalen Young
People. Tuesday evening's paper
drive resulted In the collection
of a truck load of papers with
Bill Elliott volunteering trucking
service to London.
Thursday evening a discussion
meeting of the group was held at
Whalen and the regular meeting
in the Centralia Church Sunday
evening. Don Squire, Bruce
Hicks, David Elston and Danny
Shoebottom were in charge of
the meeting.
