Mrs. Harold Aitkins, 46, of
Clandeboye (Mooresville)
died in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, Monday, March 27, after
a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Aitkins was the former
Cromarty residents

years ago she married Harold
Aitkins. They have lived since
on the farm on which her hus-
band was born.
Surviving besides her husband
are two daughters, Linda and
Jean at home; her mother, Mrs.

Exeter, and Mrs. James (Donna)

Funeral services will be con-
ducted by Rev. G. W. Sach on
Thursday, March 30 at 2 p.m.
at the Murdy funeral home, Lu-
can, with interment in St. James
cemetery, Clandeboye.

held a presentation party in the
school Thursday evening to honor
Mr. & Mrs. John Neevel and
family who are moving shortly
to their newly purchased home
near Hensall.
The program, chaired by Larry
Gardiner consisted of readings by
Ronnie Gardiner and Mrs. Elmer
Dow, piano duet by Valeri and
Heather McPhail, vocal trio by
Beth and Verna Christie and Jo-
anne Dow. Murray Christie and
Roger Dow showed slides of their
trip to the east coast and Florida.
Gordon Scott read an address
and the Neevel family were pre-
sented with a coffee table, end
table and lamp, also individual
gifts for each of the children.
Mr. & Mrs. Neevel made fitting
replies. Lunch and a social hour
brought a pleasant evening to a
close.

The Easter meeting of Crom-
arty WMS was held in the church
on Good Friday evening. The
president Mrs. M. Lamond pre-
sided and the CGIT girls led in
the litamy. The scripture lesson
was read by the COC members,
alternately with the congregation.
The meditation was read by Mrs.
T. L. Scott. Mrs. Wm. Harper
and Miss Olive Speare. An Easter
number "The Old Rugged Cross"
was sung by the CGIT girls.
A film "A Christian in Com-
munist China" was presented
by Mrs. Robert Laing, assisted
by Mrs. John Miller.

Monday, March 27, the CGIT
girls of Cromarty Presbyterian
church held their annual secret
pal banquet in Staffa Hall with
fifty in attendance.
