NOW AT THE
BEGINNING OF
THE NEW YEAR
Looking back on the year of
1966, I think it could be called
a successful year for all. Once
again we said "goodbye" to our
grade 13's and "hello" to a new
group of grade 9's.
As in years before, we lost
many teachers to other commun-
ities and we welcomed our new
staff members.
We had a multicoloured "At
Home" and we crpwned our
Queen—Brenda Dinney.
We stopped talking about our
addition and finally started dig-
ging. At present, everything is
proceeding smoothly and quickly.
We had the best magazine cam-
paign in recent years. Our goal
was $3,000, We collected
$5,576.971 Good work, everyone]
We had public speaking con-
tests with competition being very
keen.
Students were involved in many
more accidents, both in and out
of school, in 1966. Fortunately,
all of us are recovering. As in
other years; there were those
council opening
sponsibilities of council members to students,
Ruth Ann Haist, Patricia Young, Barbara Anne
Jennison.
Lady Driver (after collision);
"But, sir, I insist it was my
fault."
Gentleman Driver: "No ma'am,
it was my fault. I knew your car
was being driven by a woman at
least 300 feet away and I could
easily have driven over into the
field and avoided this."
