The bride is the former Norma Joan Chapman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Camp- bell Chapman, Grand Bend. The groom is the son of ee and Mrs. David Schiff, Kitchener. Mrs. R. R. Moore of Calgary, the bride's sister, was her only, attendant. Miss Darlynne eicAvany was bridesmaid for her sister, wear- ing a light blue two-piece cos- tume with small matching hat and pastel grey accessories. She carried a nosegay of white mums. Mr. Bob Higgins, of Exeter, friend of the groom. was best man and M -. Peter McLeod, Exeter, was usher, Squadron Leader Ron Pattison, Ottawa. was the organist. A reception following the cere- mony was held in the Uplands Officers Mess where the bride's mother. wear ing a two piece dress o± deep garnet and black brocade with matching hat, black accessories and a white gardenia, welcomed guests. She was as- sisted by the mother of the groom who wore a dress of wool cash- mere chiffon in exotic green with grey feathered hat, black acces- sories and white gardenia. Guests present for the occas- sloe were Starr. Jewel and Mel- ody Me Avan y, sisters of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. B. Burns, Brockville. grandparents; Mr. W. Sweitzer, grandfather of the groom; Mrs. D. L Quinlevan, Grand Bend; Miss Aerie Fair- bairn, Exeter and Mr. David McLean, Ottawa. For travelling, the bride ehanged to a woolen frosted apricot dress with belled sleeves. over-shoulder scarf, reeve:leg hat and black acces- sories. The young couple are residing in Exeter. S. E. Lewis officiating. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a floor-length gown of traditional white with m et chine train and shoulder- length bouffant veil, Her flowers were coral and white carnations, Miss Kathryn Oke, RR 3 Ex- eter, was maid of honor wearing a coral floor-length sheath with matching headpiece. She carried white and coral carnations. Robert Reynolds; Brantford, brother of the bride, was best man and Douglas Jeffery ushered guests. A reception was held in the Legion Bali, Hensall. For travelling the bride wore a dark brown double knit suit with corsage of yellow roses and white mems. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will live in Dashwood. Previous to her wedding the bride was honored at a miscel- laneees shower in Exeter Legion Hall Lades Auxiliary room. Co- hostesses were Mergaret Wragg and Emma Oke. Over 70 friends, neighbors and relatives atteedee. A reading was given by Ruth Jeffery. Several contests were played and the address was read by Kathryn Oke. 'Je2Uy4-'elfee't At 2: 30 Saturday afternoon, De- cember 17. amidst a setting of miniature Christmas trees re- flecting their blue lights on bas- kets of white and blue tinted mums. Shirley Dianne Faber and peter Francis DeWys exchanged rings and vows in Parkview Unit- ed Church Stratford with Rev. Howard K. plant officiating, The bride's parents are Mr. & Mrs. Egbert Faber of Kippen. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs, George De Wys of Strat- ford. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white peau-de- faille fashioned with lily point sleeves and portrait neckline and accented with Alencon lace as was the waist also. The gently controlled skirt ended in a double train. The main centre of atten- tion was focused on the detach- able cathedral train cascading from a tailored bow at the back and accented by the same Alencon lace appliques. To complete her bridal outfit, the bride wore a tiered silk illusion fingertip veil held in place by a petal rosette of peau-de-faille edged with tiny seed pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses, trailing white ribbon dotted with white baby mums. Miss Sandra Bolton was maid of honor, senior bridesmaid, Mrs. Carol Penhale, sister of the bride, bridesmaids Miss Eleanor Wright and Miss Emma oesch and junior bridesmaid Miss Patricia Anne Faber. The bridal attend- ants provided a colorful back- ground in their floor length gowns of chiffon velvet, the maid of honour in American Beauty and the bridesmaids in royal blue. The basic sheath style feature an empire waist accented with braid and rosettes of powder blue and puff sleeves. They wore matching petal rosette head- pieces of chiffon velvet edged with seed pearls accented by a tiered s i 1 k illusion shoulder- length veil and they carried cas- cade bouquets of tinted mums, white carnations and large white satin bows to match their dres- ses. Flower girl, Wendy Penhale, niece of the bride wore a short white chiffon velvet dress with full skirt and cummerbund of am- erican beauty velvet. Her head- piece was similar to that of the other attendants, in American beauty and she carried a nosegay of roses and white streamers. Groomsmen were George DeWys, brother of the groom and Leonard Rolston. Guests were ushered by Kenneth Faber, broth- er of the bride and Joseph Clif- ford Richard Penhale, nephew of the bride, was junior usher. Mas- ter James yeli was ringbearer and carried the rings on a white, satin heart-shaped pillow. Organist was Miss Lynda Rader, cousin of the bride and Miss Joan Sinclair was soloist. She sang the Wedding Prayer just before the close of the wedding service and 0 Perfect Love during the signing of the register. The bride's mother received the guests in a street length dress of gold chiffon over taffeta with hat of beige with gold brocade and black accessories. She wore a corsage of pink cymbiduim or- chids.
