I think Christmas is a happy
day because it's Jesus' birthday.
We celebrate his birthday by
giving presnts to other people.
The wise men came and gave him
presents, and the sheperds gave
him presents. At Christmas time
we have our hoal famlily to our
house. Jeses got born in a stable
because there was no room in the
inn. Jeses's mother was Mary her
husbund was Joesuf, And This is

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS?
Christmas is a happy day when
we celebrate Jesus' birthday. We
give people gifts to celebrate
when the wisemen and shepherds
gave gifts to the Lord. At Christ-
mas time we have Christmas
trees all decorated with all kinds
of decorations, like candles,
candy canes, balls, bells and
wreaths. And Santa Claus comes
down the chimney and fills all
the stockings.

HIDING PRESENTS
One Christmas I hid a present
in the car under the seat. Nobody
found it, I even hid one under the
bed, one in the clost, and one in
the teller behind the stairs. At
Christmas everybody looked for
them. Nobody found them and I
had to get them myself.

THE FIRST CHRISTMAS TREE
There was a doctor in Ger-
many who always had to go out
into country to help the sick. One
Christmas he had to go out in
the country. On the way home he
went by a river by the river was
a: little tree. It looked like it
had jewels on it. When he got
home he put some water on it
and it froze. In the morning he
called his family. And that is
the way we got our first Christ-
mas Tree.

CHRISTMAS IN HOLLAND
Christmas in Holland i s cele-
brated on Dec. 6. The children
put some straw and a carrot in a
wooden shoe,
When St. Nicholas comes he
puts presents under the Christ-
mas tree. Then he takes the
straw and carrot and gives it
to his horse.
For the bad children Black
Peter gives charcoal and straw.

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS
Christmas means lots of good
times and a happy year. We cele-
brate Christmas because it is the
day of Christ's birth. We usually
see Christmas decorations which
make the season cheerful and gay.
I sincerely hope that everyone
will have a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy year to.

ONE WISH
If I had one wish I would like
to Bible Time and sing with the
angels. I would like to have been
the angel who told the shepherds
that Christ was born. I would
have liked to shout Alleluia, Al-
leluia with them too.

THE FUNNY MEN FROM
DIFFERENT PLANTS
A flying saucer came down
to earth to sellabrate Christmas.
Three different men came to visit
us. One came from the moon, one
came from the sun, and one came
from Christmas land. They came
to scare people from their homes
on Christmas day. The m e n
scared the people because they
wanted to decorate the houses.
The people thanked the men from
different planets for what they
had done. Because the people
were so thankful the men gave
gifts to the children.

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS
To the children Christmas is
Santa Claus. To the teenagers
Christmas is only mistletoe. For
the adults, it is a bundle of cards,
oh and I can't forget to mail them.

THE LITTLE CHRISTMAS TREE
In a forest where they sold
Christmas trees there lived a
little, little Christmas tree. It
seemed that no one wanted to buy
him. There were only ten more
Christmas trees to be bought.
Then ten cars came and took
the ten Christmas trees. The
little tree was left all alone.
He was so sad. Then all of a
sudden, some people came and
took him away. Now he is so
beautifully decorated, that he is
the happiest tree of all.

BAKING CHRISTMAS GOODIES
One Christmas night there was
a bake shop. A man and lady
owned it. They were poor. That
night 16 little elfs came. They
made pies cookies donuts tarts
cakes and candy bars. The owners
sold these and became very rich.
Now they too will have a happy
Christmas.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE IN
TOYLAND
Once when I was dreaming,
I was in toyland decorating the
biggest Christmas tree in the
world. I was putting on the big-
gest Santa Claus. When I was
finished I said, "It's going to
take a long time before we'll
get it decorated." Then the real
Santa Claus came marching down
the laneway with his elfs with
him. He called their names and
they started to work on the great
Christmas tree. They put on the
lights, then the bulbs, then the
picture of Santa Claus. When
everything was done I woke up.

A DREAM IN TOYLAND
One night when I was asleep
I had a dream about being in toy
land. I dreamed about me being
a little bear so that I could be
in a little girl's arms. One day
a little girl and her mother came,
right towards me and then all of
a sudden I was in that little
girl's arms. She took me home
and that night I went to bed with
her.

THE TOYS CHRISTMAS
A long, long time ago, toys
came alive at night, when nobody
was around. They danced and
sang. But there was one little
ballet doll, who sat all alone
in one dark corner. Then one
night a little fairy came to see
the toys. She said to the lonely
doll, will make you queen
of the toys." The little doll
was so happy, that she danced
with glee. She was very kind to the
toys for the rest of her life.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT AT
CHRISTMAS
I think Christmas is the nicest
holiday of all. I know sometimes
parnets think of the cost of every-
thing and are glad Christmas
comes only once a year, but I
think they Will agree that it is
a very nice time of the year all
in all.
Most of the children around
christmas time are saying, I
hope I get that or I hope I get
this. If I could have one wish I
Would wish that everyone in the
world would love each other.

THE STORY OF THE FIRST
CHRISTMAS TREE
It is told that on Christ's first
birthday all the angels of the Lord
brought nature's most precious
gifts to make a beautiful Christ-
mas tree.
First they brought the brilliant
stars to give the tree light. Next
icicles and snowy pine cones were
used to decorate the out spread
branches of the stately ever-
green. Droplets of shimmering
water and sparkling snowflakes
were sprinkled on the narrow
green pine needles.
From the far corners of the
world flew many brightly colour-
ed birds and added all the col-
ours of the rainbow to God's
tree. The cresent silvery moon
shining overhead made a pictur-
esque background for the glowing
Christmas tree.
Today at Christmas time we
still celebrate Christ's birthday
by, decorating an evergreen and
calling it a Christmas Tree.
